Where’s The Department of Justice? Judicial Watch Wins Court Case to Enforce Voter Registration in Maryland

Elder Patriot – Thank God for Judicial Watch and its president Tom Fitton.

They’ve scored another victory in the war against voter fraud.

If you think the Obama administration’s only transgression was to direct the weaponization of the FBI to target Donald Trump,  you’re mistaken.

Voter fraud is only one of many ways leftists have corrupted our elections.  Charges of voter fraud have been widely discussed for decades.

Could there be a greater threat to our republic than corrupt elections?

You’d think that the Department of Justice, given that its mission is to enforce the law in defense of the American people, would have aggressively pursued the enforcement of the National Voter Registration Act.  But, you’d be wrong.

As with almost everything under his control – or the control of his appointees – if there was an advantage to be gained with which to advance his leftist agenda, Obama was quick to embrace it.

Not so with Judicial Watch that works with only a small fraction of the budget the Justice Department is allotted.  And, Judicial Watch is largely, if not completely, supported by its donors.

Judicial Watch announced that a federal court has ordered the State of Maryland to produce voter list data for Montgomery County, the state’s biggest county.

The court ruling comes in the Judicial Watch lawsuit filed July 18, 2017, against Montgomery County and the Maryland State Boards of Elections under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).

At issue is the provision in the NVRA that requires states to take reasonable steps to clean up its voting rolls and to make documents about its voter list maintenance practices available to anyone who asks.

Judicial Watch was seeking the Maryland voter list data after discovering that there were more registered voters in Montgomery County than citizens over the age of 18 who could register – a certain recipe for fraud.

“Now that the court has cleared the way for Judicial Watch to obtain the Montgomery voter data, our efforts to force the State of Maryland to comply with the NVRA and clean up its voter rolls may proceed,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

Judicial Watch has previously won similar lawsuits against Kentucky, California, Ohio, and Indiana clearing millions of ineligible voters from the rolls.

In the California case alone, Fitton had announced that LA County was forced to send notices to as many as 1.5 million inactive voters who were still on the county’s voter rolls.

That’s a massive number for a single county.  Fitton estimated that nationwide there may be as many as 3.5 million names on voter rolls who shouldn’t be there.

Our research suggests that California, by itself, has more than 3.5 million such ineligible registered voters.  That would equal, or surpass, the margin of Hillary Clinton’s popular vote advantage in the 2016 presidential election.

This undercover video from Project Veritas indicates this fraud is nationally directed and not just a product of sloppy bookkeeping:

Project Veritas caught Clinton operative Robert Creamer on camera.

Creamer: “We’ve been bussing people in to deal with you fuckin’ assholes [Republicans] for fifty years, and we’re not going to stop now.”

So, the loopholes not only exist, high-level Democrat operatives admit to exploiting them.  Leftist judges have become complicit by siding with those who oppose efforts to fix the problem.

The DOJ’s failure in taking the lead on this is just one more indication that it has become little more than an expensive taxpayer funded government agency whose mission has become protecting itself, and other government agencies from having the rampant, Obama-era corruption exposed.
