Elder Patriot – NBC News in New York has reported that:
Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Jerry Nadler appeared weak and on the verge of passing out at a presser held by New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio Friday morning in Manhattan.
Nadler had given remarks at an event about speed enforcement cameras in school zones when he slumped in his chair. At one point, video shows de Blasio offer a drink from his water bottle to Nadler and tell him he looks a bit dehydrated.
When de Blasio asks Nadler if he is OK, Nadler can be heard responding with a faint “no” before putting his hand over his face. Moments later he seemed to recover a bit and was able to speak; the Democrat was given water to drink and an orange to eat as de Blasio cleared the school gym to assist in the response.
Nadler was then wheeled out on a stretcher to an ambulance that backed up into an alley behind the school. De Blasio was seen by his side, escorting Nadler to the ambulance.
In a statement, Nadler’s spokesperson said, “He is okay. Seems to have been dehydrated and it was very warm in the room. He is now responsive and receiving a check-up.”
While we wish Nadler a speedy recovery we have to remind him that 5’4” and 300 lbs is no way to go through life.
The Manhattan Democrat has been entrusted with an impossible task, taking down an innocent president, who has already been exonerated by four separate investigations.
He currently trying to make it appear as though he’s intent on having former Special Counsel Robert Mueller testify before his committee in open conference, while, at the same time, making sure it never happens.
While Nadler has dreams of finding an impeachable offense hidden somewhere in the wide net of subpoenas he’s issued, he realizes he’ll have to settle for continuing the Orange man is bad narrative at least until the 2020 elections.
That’s the only strategy open to Nadler; maintain the lies as long as he can. Nadler knows that:
“The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” – Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels on the Big Lie
President Trump and his supporters are drooling over the prospect of Mueller having to answer questions posed by the committee’s Republican members. Unless Mueller was prepared to perjure himself, it would turn ugly, fast.
The belief that that’s the case is bolstered by reports that Mueller’s former team also do not want him to testify.
So Nadler has busy trying to lay his failure to subpoena Mueller at the feet of the former special counsel. Last night Nadler appeared on MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show” where he told the host: (prompt to 3:32)
“I think I can say, at this point, that he wants to testify in private.”
“He wants to — he’s willing to make an opening statement, but he wants to testify in private.”
Nadler’s appearance, last night, with Maddow was followed with an appearance this morning by Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA), the vice chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, on CNN’s New Day.
Scanlon was part of the clean-up committee, telling the show’s host that it was her committee’s preference that he testify publicly and added that ultimately the testimony would become public.
Right. And, without filters?
Scanlon herself admitted that would be the case with her own words:
“The more separation you get from the actual witnesses or the actual evidence or the actual speakers, the more difficult it is to cut through the noise we see coming out of the White House every day. They are very on message. It may be a fake message, but we would like the American people to see the actual truth and the actual participants.”
Mueller should be reminded that taxpayers forked over $40 Million to get answers and 448-page report that doesn’t deliver conclusive findings just doesn’t cut it.
He owes us a complete public airing or he owes us our money back.
