Elder Patriot – For those who have convinced themselves that it can’t happen here, you’re wrong. Not only can it happen here, it is happening here.
Last week Facebook purged 559 mostly conservative pages and 251 accounts. Then, in what appeared to be a coordinated move, Twitter de-platformed multiple anti-establishment sites, as well.
UPDATE on the massive Purge of 800 dissident voices happening in the U.S.

This comes on the heels of the popular, and thought provoking, Alex Jones show being de-platformed from social media.
This isn’t simply the decision of a private company. In May of this year, Fortune magazine reported that Facebook had partnered with the Atlantic Council to fight “election propaganda.”
Take a look at who funds the Atlantic Council:

What’s that? The Atlantic Council is funded by departments of the U.S. government and globalist aligned organizations!
Tyler Durden of Zero Hedge has called attention to the fact that the Atlantic Council recently published “a 21-page document about a US military conference detailing, in present tense, how Silicon Valley tech giants are being used to nullify the threat that the new media landscape poses to the US power establishment.”
“Of this document, World Socialist Website writes the following:
Enter the social media companies. The best mechanism for suppressing oppositional viewpoints and promoting pro-government narratives is the private sector, in particular “technology giants, including Facebook, Google, YouTube, and Twitter,” which can “determine what people see and do not see.”
Watts adds, “Fortunately, shifts in the policies of social media platforms such as Facebook have had significant impact on the type and quality of the content that is broadcast.”
The private sector, therefore, must do the dirty work of the government, because government propaganda is viewed with suspicion by the population. “Business and the private sector may not naturally understand the role they play in combating disinformation, but theirs is one of the most important…. In the West at least, they have been thrust into a central role due to the general public’s increased trust in them as institutions.”
We can’t say that we haven’t been warning our readers that this was coming but it’s the lack of outrage that is so concerning, especially as we watch the Democrats promise to institute socialism and open our borders in furtherance of the globalist agenda – with the full blessing of these same social media platforms.
We first warned of this during the lame duck Congress following President Trump’s election in December 2016, when the Senate passed S. 2943 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017. The vote was 85-13. It had passed the House a week earlier by a vote of 375-34.
Hidden in the new law – Section 1287 – are the funding and guidelines necessary to establish a Global Engagement Center. The wording is sufficiently vague enough for the GEC to become a Ministry of Truth.
Section 1287, (a) Establishment, (2) Purpose: The purpose of the Center shall be to lead, synchronize, and coordinate efforts of the Federal Government to recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign state and non-state propaganda and disinformation efforts aimed at undermining United States national security interests.
By the end of the month Obama had signed it into law.
At that time we warned:
Anyone who thinks this is intended to defend against foreign propaganda is naïve. The language in the bill is sufficiently vague so as to allow the government, or perhaps corrupt government officials, to silence their critics.
Read that last sentence again. In light of the way the “Deep State” has resisted President Trump’s America First agenda it’s reasonable to ask, in retrospect, whether this was just another strategy to undermine the new president and the patriots who support him.
As the bill wound its way through the lame duck Congress we expressed concern that Facebook was planning to censor critics of the anti-globalist movement.
We’ve written at least 37 columns since December of 2016 on the threat to free and open debate that Facebook poses. We are now at the tipping point.
Durden tell us to raise our voices because propaganda and censorship can only succeed in darkness. The louder and more consistent we are in calling attention to Facebook’s nefarious alignment with anti-Trump government censors the less effective their efforts will be.
We agree with Durden but we have also taken a different approach. We have launched a new platform as an alternative to Facebook. We call it Spreely, as in Speak Freely.
We collect no personal information and we promise to never censor you no matter your politics.
Admittedly the road ahead is fraught with potholes and cyberattacks as we effort to work out the kinks of launching a new platform.
You’ll be hearing more about this new platform in the weeks ahead. We developed it to help the Freedom Movement continue communicating with each other. Check us out at Spreely.com and help us grow.
