Elder Patriot – Rod Rosenstein addressed the Armenian Bar Association on Thursday where he described his handling of the “massive threat” to our Republic that the Russians posed during the 2016 election.
“The previous Administration chose not to publicize the full story about Russian computer hackers and social media trolls, and how they relate to a broader strategy to undermine America.”
Where was this Rod Rosenstein for the past two-and-a-half years?

Before we let Rod get too far over his skis describing the threat level that Russia actually achieved let’s hear White House Senior Advisor Jared Kushner put their efforts in proper perspective:
Kushner: “I think they said they spent about $160,000. I spent $160,000 every three hours during the campaign. If you look at the magnitude of what they did and what they accomplished, I think the ensuing investigations have been way more harmful to our country.
The facts don’t matter to the large number of conspirators, both active or passive, who need the Russian meddling narrative to represent an existential threat so that their participation in the unspeakable coup attempt will be seen as absolutely justified.
(Washington Post) Speaking at the Public Servants Dinner of the Armenian Bar Association, Rosenstein unleashed his sharpest critique yet of those who have attacked his handling of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative report into Russian election interference and President Donald Trump’s conduct.
[…] “The bottom line is, there was overwhelming evidence that Russian operatives hacked American computers and defrauded American citizens, and that is only the tip of the iceberg of a comprehensive Russian strategy to influence elections, promote social discord, and undermine America, just like they do in many other countries,” Rosenstein said.
Rosenstein appointed Mueller as special counsel in May 2017, and has overseen the investigation since.
Serious stuff. But why wasn’t the mainstream media similarly outraged when Kennedy reached out to Soviet dictator Leonid Brezhnev asking for his help with a plan to defeat Ronald Reagan?
Russian meddling has been going on for many decades, as has American meddling in the elections of other countries.
What makes this time different is that members of the Obama administration’s intelligence community decided it would be a great excuse – an insurance policy – for removing a president who would expose their illegal surveillance activities on their political enemies.
That’s why Rosenstein told his audience: “There was overwhelming evidence that Russian operatives hacked American computers and defrauded American citizens, and that is only the tip of the iceberg of a comprehensive Russian strategy to influence elections, promote social discord, and undermine America, just like they do in many other countries.”
The threat was so overwhelming that Obama’s National Security Advisor Susan Rice ordered her Coordinator of Cyber Security, Michael Daniel to do nothing about it.
Bad stuff though, really.
Not really. Unless you’re one of the legion of those who aligned to depose Donald Trump in order to protect Obama’s surveillance state. In that case you’re the one facing an existential crisis right now.
Sundance lists those players now aligned in common cause that now need the threat of Russian meddling to justify their seditious spy operations:
President Obama, Susan Rice, Denis McDonough, Ben Rhodes, John Brennan, Ash Carter, James Clapper, James Comey, Sally Yates, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe, Rod Rosenstein, Christopher Wray, David Bowditch, Dana Boente, James Baker, John Carlin, Paul Ryan, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Michael Kortan, Bill Priestap, Andrew Weissmann, Robert Mueller; the 40+ FBI agents; the 19+ Mueller team lawyers; the Clinton campaign officials and lawyers (Perkins Coie); the DNC; Fusion-GPS; U.S. State Department personnel; most of the DC political leadership and committee chairs; the former and current Gang of Eight (sans Nunes); the majority of the DOJ-National Security Division; elements of the U.K, AU and Italian government; approximately 15 to 20 GOP members of the U.S. Senate; and almost all of the DC media apparatus,….
Everything is going to be declassified and more, much, much more than what you just mentioned. It will all be declassified. – President Donald Trump
