Elder Patriot | Last month an ABC News/Washington Post poll found that support for impeachment had plummeted to 37% among voters.
By last week, despite overwhelming media support for the Democrats’ brazen plan to subvert the presidency of Donald Trump, a new Hill-HarrisX survey found that 68% of registered voters now support an inquiry into whether official procedures were followed when the FBI began examining allegations of connections between Donald Trump‘s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia.
With support for Democrats’ singular focus since voters returned them to power in the House plummeting, President Trump has decided the time is right to drop the political hammer on them.
President Trump took the occasion of a scheduled meeting to discuss infrastructure with Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, to instead redress them in the Oval Office before moving to the Rose Garden to make a statement to the media:
Trump is pissed. He took advantage of his overwhelming advantage in the polls to press Democrats to put an end to their relentless investigating that, following four previous probes, are being conducted without a predicate.
That is the definition of a witch-hunt.
The president can still press forward with his agenda, albeit in some instances not as effectively, but Democrats are now positioned to head into the 2020 elections without a single legislative accomplishment.
