Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. First Amendment to the United States Constitution – Bill of Rights
ELDER PATRIOT – Hillary Clinton has, once again, exposed herself as possessing neither the temperament to be president nor the necessary fidelity to our Constitution demanded of those who serve us.
Her latest assault on our Constitution is aimed at squelching our First Amendment protections that guarantee every American the right to speak their minds freely in the public square. Her promise of lawlessness came in the form of an email that Mrs. Clinton directed her campaign to send to her supporters and that the Daily Caller came into possession of:
“We’ve had a conservative media in this country for a while. I don’t always like what they have to say, but I respect their role and their right to exist.
“Breitbart is something different. They make Fox News look like a Democratic Party pamphlet. They’re a different breed altogether — not just conservative but radical, bigoted, anti-Muslim, anti-Semitic conspiracy peddlers who never have been and never should be anywhere near the levers of power in this country.” – (H/T Daily Caller)
Hillary implies she is content with Fox News being allowed to continue reporting in the manner that they have in the past, but not Breitbart. What’s the difference between the two?
The answer to that is simple, Breitbart has hammered Mrs. Clinton on her corruption whereas Fox has reported on it in the same dismissive manner as the rest of the mainstream media has, as though it is nothing more than a partisan attack by her political opponents.
Even more importantly, Breitbart has lead from the front in reporting on the Globalist’s attempt to take over America. For Mrs. Clinton, Breitbart’s CEO, Stephen Bannon’s willingness to authorize his news organization to expose her planned assault on American sovereignty, hits too close to home.
As far as Fox News is concerned, its founder Rupert Murdoch is a Hillary supporter and contributor because he, like Mrs. Clinton, is an advocate of open borders. Murdoch serves as co-chair of the Partnership for a New American Economy, perhaps the most influential lobbying group calling for a borderless society.
Mrs. Clinton’s words stand in striking contradiction with the words of the Constitution’s primary author, James Madison, who wrote of the press:
“Some degree of abuse is inseparable from the proper use of everything; and in no instance is this more true than in that of the press. It has accordingly been decided, by the practice of the states, that it is better to leave a few of its noxious branches to their luxuriant growth, than, by pruning them away, to injure the vigor of those yielding the proper fruits. And can the wisdom of this policy be doubted by anyone who reflects that to the press alone, checkered as it is with abuses, the world is indebted for all the triumphs which have been gained by reason and humanity over error and oppression?” – James Madison – Report on the Virginia Resolutions, (1800-01-20)
What makes Mrs. Clinton the most partisan political hypocrite of her time is that she is even contradicting her own words.
It was only a few years ago when Hillary was opposing the Bush administration that she complained about censorship in any form:
At that time there was no effort to silence Mrs. Clinton by anyone. She merely faced criticism for some of her views, something Stephen Bannon and Breitbart have no problem with.
Now, because some alternative news sites have dared to expose her corrupt tenure at the State Department where she abused her authority and, together with her husband, turned the Clinton Foundation into a money laundering entity for her pay to play scheme, she promises to destroy Breitbart if she is given the power to.
Silencing critics is the action of a dictator.
The first words our new president will be asked to say before heading down Pennsylvania Avenue to begin serving the American people will be the presidential Oath of Office:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
By her words and deeds Mrs. Clinton has told us that she would violate that oath by limiting both our First and Second Amendment rights as soon as the people are foolish enough to hand her the reigns of government.
