ELDER PATRIOT – There’s no nice way to say it, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and the Republicans aren’t even Democrat lite. They are one and the same with the Democrats swimming together in the swamp. To put it bluntly, they’re all lying sacks of sh*t.
Republicans, claimed to have sent 80 different Obamacare repeal bills to then-president Obama only to have them vetoed, unanimously promised to repeal Obamacare on Day 1 when they were campaigning for election and re-election.
McConnell even rallied the delegates at the Republican National Convention when he declared that, “we put Obamacare on the president’s desk, he voted it. Donald Trump would sign it”:
The voters did their part, but now we’re learning that McConnell and the Republicans were flat out lying to us.
With majorities in both houses and a president with his pen at the ready, establishment Republicans are backing away from their sacred promise, not only to repeal Obamacare but to restore the Founding Principles to government.
It’s clear they never had any intention of changing it in any way, let alone repealing it. We should’ve expected as much when they refused to withhold funding for the failing program over the last seven years of Obama’s presidency.
Not only aren’t they refusing to send a repeal bill to President Trump, they aren’t even making any cuts or improvements in the healthcare monstrosity that’s draining $1.5 trillion annually from our economy.
That’s right, the senate majority leader, he of the bold repeal declaration – in fact 80 of them – admitted today that senate Republicans are unlikely to send President Trump any form of repeal or replace package. Apparently they lack the balls necessary to be leaders.
Or, maybe they are beholden to the health insurers, pharmaceutical companies, and trial lawyers who have grown rich under the mandates of Obamacare.
They must think we’re complete schmucks if they intend to run in 2018 after having preserved Obamacare – against the directive of the voters and their party’s president – that has resulted in severely diminished access to services with double or triple costs – and that is only going to get more expensive with even less coverage as market competition continues to be destroyed.
It’s time to face the facts that you have something in common with Donald Trump, neither of you have any friends in Washington.
