Elder Patriot- Fifty years of liberalism has resulted in more than half of America’s children under 18 years of age living in households where one or more of the adults residing in the household receives benefits from at least one means-tested government program.
According to Terry Jeffrey at CNSNews.com:
In 2016, according to the most recent data from the Census Bureau, there were approximately 73,586,000 people under 18 in the United States, and 38,365,000 of them — or 52.1 percent — resided in households in which one or more persons received benefits from a means-tested government program.
Overall, 35.9 Americans lived “in a household that received means-tested assistance” in 2016.
What should scare people when considering our country’s future is the trend line as determined by age:
Able bodied young adults 18-24 years of age are more than twice as likely to reside in households receiving government assistance than people in their twilight years who are far less likely to be able to work.
Translation: A disproportionate percentage of government resources are being directed at our youth and away from our elderly.
Ask your friends to roll that around in their minds for a while and and then reconsider why they defend the status quo and despise President Trump.
This brings to mind the words of Harry Truman who said:
“I never did give anybody hell. I just told the truth and they thought it was hell.”
We finally have a president who is attempting to restore pride in individual achievement and self-reliance and he has been under relentless attack from day one. Funny that, huh?
