Elder Patriot – On November 29th, 2018 FBI agents raided the home of a whistleblower in a case nearly a decade old and that was in violation of laws protecting whistleblowers.
The Daily Caller exclusively reported:
FBI agents raided the home of a recognized Department of Justice whistleblower who privately delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a government watchdog, according to the whistleblower’s attorney.
The Justice Department’s inspector general was informed that the documents show that federal officials failed to investigate potential criminal activity regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and Rosatom, the Russian company that purchased Uranium One, a document reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation alleges.
The delivered documents also show that then-FBI Director Robert Mueller failed to investigate allegations of criminal misconduct pertaining to Rosatom and to other Russian government entities attached to Uranium One, the document reviewed by The DCNF alleges. Mueller is now the special counsel investigating whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
The DOJ has refused to unseal documents surrounding the reasons for the raid and a federal judge has sided with the Justice Department in barring release of the documents.
The Daily Caller updated us this week after the news outlet asked the judge to unseal the documents:
A federal court refused to unseal government documents that permitted the FBI to raid the home of a reportedly recognized whistleblower who, according to his lawyer, delivered documents pertaining to the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One to a presidentially appointed watchdog.
The U.S. District Court of Maryland’s Chief Magistrate Judge Beth P. Gesner, a Clinton appointee, also sealed her justification for keeping the documents secret in a single-page Dec. 20 order.
On Nov. 15, federal Magistrate Judge Stephanie Gallagher authorized the raid on Dennis Cain’s Union Bridge, Maryland, home. She sealed the government documents justifying it.
So Hillary Clinton’s family foundation receives $145 million from various entities related to Russia, 20% of U.S. controlled Uranium is transferred to a Kremlin controlled company – Rosatom – and Robert Mueller tanked the investigation without explanation.
Nothing to see there.
After this period of time who are they protecting? Any damage to national security has already been done.
Mueller is now the special counsel investigating President Trump and wouldn’t want these potentially incriminating documents unsealed. Democrats want these documents to remain outside the public’s view, too. Clearly they are hiding something.
Now let’s turn our attention to the confirmation vote for President Trump’s nominee for Attorney General, William Barr.
Here’s where the Dems’ hypocrisy is on full display.
Barr has only promised to release as much of the special counsel’s report as the law would require. But Dems want everything released, every dead end, every name.
How unfair would that be to the innocent? Where would they go to get their good names back?
Barr’s determination to adhere to DOJ guidelines is not good enough for Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) or Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) who are likely speaking for their entire flock.
They are demanding assurances from Barr that, if confirmed, he would release the special counsel’s report in its entirety.
Here’s video of Schumer addressing the media about Barr’s confirmation:
Schumer appears visibly shaken as he realizes that he may be about to lose control of the Trump-Russia narrative.
Special counsel Robert Mueller’s report is virtually guaranteed to be rife with unproven innuendo that the Pelosi-led House has been planning to use as political fodder for impeachment hearings to delegitimize President Trump in the lead up to the 2020 election.
Barr is the only thing that stands in Pelosi’s way and then, only if he’s prepared to be the only honest man at the top of the DOJ – a lonely place to be for a career Washington insider.
