BOOM: Huber Announces First Arrest

Elder Patriot – U.S. Attorney John Huber announced the arrest of former Defense Intelligence Agency office Ron Rockwell Hansen on multiple charges including the attempted transmission of national defense information to the People’s Republic of China.

If the name John Huber rings a bell it’s because he is the federal prosecutor appointed by Attorney General Jeff Sessions to work with Inspector General Michael Horowitz on the DOJ’s directed FBI tanking of the Clinton email investigation.

The Inspector General is only empowered to investigate and then report the unadulterated facts.  An IG cannot prosecute wrongdoing.  The IG is further restricted because he or she can only interview current employees of the agency they are assigned to.

That is why AG Sessions assigned Huber to work with Horowitz.  Huber has much broader investigative authority and he has prosecutorial authority, as well.  Huber has been building the case for prosecuting those involved at the FBI and DOJ who deliberately tanked the Clinton email investigation.

While we are all waiting to get a look at the IG’s report that is due out this week the fact that it is over 500 pages long suggests there’s evidence of systemic wrongdoing in the executive offices a the highest levels of the FBI and DOJ.

Remember Horowitz’s initial report was only thirty-nine pages long and resulted in the firing of the FBI’s Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and exposed serious conflicts between McCabe’s account and former Director James Comey’s account of how events unfolded.

Huber has been focusing his attention on building the Clinton email case so it’s entirely possible that the arrest of former DIA agent Hansen is a result of what’s been discovered.  Whether or not Hansen’s wrongdoing was discovered as a result of the broader investigation is immaterial.  The arresting authorities made it clear they had no stomach for this kind of behavior.

Listen to the words of Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers who was standing alongside Huber:

“Ron Rockwell Hansen is a former Defense Intelligence Agency officer who allegedly attempted to transmit national defense information to the People’s Republic of China’s intelligence service (PRCIS) and also allegedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars while illegally acting as an agent of China.  His alleged actions are a betrayal of our nation’s security and the American people and are an affront to his former intelligence community colleagues.  Our intelligence professionals swear an oath to protect our country’s most closely held secrets and the National Security Division will continue to relentlessly pursue justice against those who violate this oath.”

Huber added:

“These allegations are very troubling in their description of conduct that runs contrary to how we identify ourselves as Americans.  On the other hand, revealed details of this lengthy investigation reflect effective performance and dedication on the part of the men and women of the FBI and their partners.”

FBI Special Agent Eric Barnhart who oversaw the bureau’s investigation of Hansen said:

“The allegations in this complaint are grave as it appears Mr. Hansen engaged in behavior that betrayed his oath and his country.  This case drives home the troubling reality of insider threats and that current and former clearance holders will be targeted by our adversaries.  The FBI will aggressively investigate individuals who put our national security at risk.”

These words would require only minor editing to describe the reason for bringing charges against Hillary Clinton and any number of her associates.  In fact, if one closes their eyes and harkens back to Comey’s July 5th 2016 presser where he exonerated Clinton, you have to wonder why he didn’t.

This is not going to end well for HRC, her associates, or for the corrupt FBI and DOJ officers who did Obama’s bidding.  That includes Jim Comey who is going to see how “reasonable” prosecutors handle those miscreants who mishandle classified information.
