Elder Patriot – Charlie Rose was clearly over his head while trying to interview Steve Bannon last night. Or, perhaps he was deliberately tone deaf.
Whatever the reason, his questions were shallow and not probative. Maybe that was the result of immediately recognizing that a normal line of questioning would provide Bannon with the opportunity to destroy the stereotypes the mainstream media had invented to discredit him.
After helping steer President Trump’s winning campaign and then serving as the new president’s senior advisor, Bannon deserves our respect whether we agree with his politics or not.
Let’s never lose sight of the fact that in a representative republic we choose our president and when he is shown disrespect by the mainstream media then we are being shown disrespect as well.
Charlie Rose showed his enmity for us when he began by introducing Bannon with this opening: “where alt-right meets conspiracy theory.”
Hey Charlie, what’s conspiratorial about the people supporting the man who promised to put an end to our jobs being shipped overseas or taken by immigrants (both legal and illegal), and our manufacturing base being eviscerated under the unnecessarily high costs of regulations, high utility costs, incomprehensible high corporate taxes, and yes high labor costs?
Rose thinks we’re too stupid to realize who Congress has been serving, it hasn’t been us for decades. Rose did make clear whom he serves, it’s the same corporatists that Congress serves.
Despite the left’s attempt to paint Bannon and the president as social Neanderthals for more than a year, Bannon made it clear to 60 Minutes that he long ago transcended the race, gender and ethnicity baiting. He just doesn’t see people as anything but people.
Bannon and President Trump have a colorblind agenda based on spreading prosperity across all racial, ethnic and gender groups:
“Economic nationalism is what this country was built on. The American system—we look after our own. We look after our citizens, we look after our manufacturing base. And guess what? This country’s going to be greater, more united, more powerful than it’s ever been. This is not astrophysics. And by the way, that’s every nationality, every race, every religion, every sexual preference.”
“… as long as you’re an American citizen, you’re part of this populous economic nationalist movement.”
Of course Bannon’s desire for a unified citizenry would put an end to the left-right paradigm, the globalists’ methodology that empowers them to divide us over our trivial personal differences.
Steve Bannon was right to leave the White House. His voice will be much louder from his perch at Breitbart and by using interviews like last night’s to turn the MSM narrative on its head.
