The longer the Democrats’ impeachment charade continues the more people are coming to realize that the Democrats’ own this steaming pile of manure – every Democrat save one voted for this extra-Constitutional inquest.
It’s a stark warning of what happens to anyone who gets in the way of their political machine.
With that in mind, you will understand why Chairman Schiff is calling certain witnesses and avoiding others. Schiff has been conducting auditions in a Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility – a secret room impervious to listening devices.
From this secret star chamber a list of witnesses that Schiff believes he can craft a narrative worthy of advancing impeachment is emerging.
That must explain why neither Catherine Croft, who served as special adviser at the National Security Council for Ukraine negotiations, or Croft’s predecessor, Christopher Anderson have still not been called.
Croft testified that President Trump was skeptical about how Ukraine, with its long history of corruption, might use the money. And, that Trump had been skeptical since he first took office.
Recall that during his campaign, Trump had promised to be a guardian of the billions of dollars in foreign aid – your tax dollars – that are doled out every year.
From the transcript of Croft’s deposition:
Croft was referring to the time when Poroshenko was president of Ukraine. That was in 2017. This proves that the recent hold on aid wasn’t the first time that Trump had held up the release of tax dollars – in the form of aid – because of concerns about corruption.
Vice President Joe Biden, Hunter Biden’s father, was President Obama’s point man on Ukraine at the time.
Hunter Biden had been appointed to the board of directors of Burisma Holdings despite having no particular expertise in oil and gas, no knowledge of Ukraine, and an inability to speak the language.
We also know from the public testimony of Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, George Kent, Burisma held a reputation for corruption.
Congresswoman Stefanik (R-NY): The first investigation against the owner of Burisma was under President Obama’s administration?
DASOS Kent: That’s correct.
Clearly Vice President Biden was concerned about corruption in Ukraine as well, as he explained to during a discussion at the Council on Foreign Relations:
In the video he admits that he was concerned enough to warn Vice President Pence about it.
This suggests that Chairman Schiff is blocking the testimony of Hunter Biden because he knows it will open the door to questions about this Joe Biden admission:
Biden: “I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in, I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’”
“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”
Regardless of circumstances, that, my friends, is a quid pro quo.
If Hunter Biden was aware of the corruption at Burisma then why didn’t he discuss it with his father, the vice president who was running point on Ukraine for the Obama administration?
If he did discuss it, and Biden demanded the firing of the prosecutor who was investigating it, that would raise questions as to why?
Chris Anderson, Croft’s predecessor, confirmed that there had been concerns about the ‘ vice president’s son’ and corruption at Burisma though he admitted to only a hazy memory of the situation.
Clearly this is a can of worms that Adam “Lavrentiy Beria” Schiff, and his promoters in the mainstream media, don’t want to open.
