ELDER PATRIOT – Newly released emails of Hillary Clinton’s from the most recent Wikileaks dump reveals the contempt in which she holds the people she is running to lead. In Mrs. Clinton’s own words:
“If everybody’s watching, you know, all of the back room discussions and the deals, you know, then people get a little nervous, to say the least. So, you need both a public and a private position.
“You just have to sort of figure out how to — getting back to that word, ‘balance’ — how to balance the public and the private efforts that are necessary to be successful, politically, and that’s not just a comment about today,” she said.
“Politics is like sausage being made. It is unsavory, and it always has been that way, but we usually end up where we need to be.”
It is from this perspective that we get insight into Mrs. Clinton’s carefully crafted public statements allowing us to conclude that they are meant to obscure and mislead the electorate about her intentions if she were to be elected. It becomes more apparent every day that, if Mrs. Clinton will better represent the global elites, large corporations, international bankers, and Washington’s insiders than the American worker who she believes to be irredeemably deplorable for simply wanting a better life for their families.
This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the way these same Washington insiders that Mrs. Clinton has surrounded herself with, view the rest of us. Coupled with Mrs. Clinton’s promise to grow government in furtherance of the current president’s policies that have favored these elites at the expense of the rest of us, Mrs. Clinton’s agenda is quite clear.
The vast majority of these policy deciders consider themselves our betters. Just ask them. A recent study by Jennifer Bachner and Benjamin Ginsberg of Johns Hopkins proves it. Rather than ask people how they perceive Washington, the poll asked Washington’s insiders how they perceive the rest of us.
For people who trust that those in control still adhere to abiding by the principle of government of the people, for the people, and by the people, the poll reveals the exact opposite.
White House and Congressional staffers, career civil servants, lobbyists (yes, lobbyists,) and the slew of NGO managers revealed much about how little respect they have for us. The 304 pages used to explain their findings make one thing abundantly clear, these people consider themselves our betters. They overwhelmingly believe themselves not just more informed but also smarter than us on every issue.
Bachner and Ginsburg’s work is chronicled in the new book, “What Washington Gets Wrong: The Unelected Officials Who Actually Run the Government and Their Misconceptions about the American People.”
This is the inside-the-beltway crowd that write the 2,000 plus page legislative initiatives that we are told must be passed so that we can read them.
These Washington insiders also support Hillary Clinton by a wide margin. That’s their prerogative but what should scare anyone who believes in the people’s right to govern themselves is the fact that Mrs. Clinton believes, along with them, that they are indeed our betters.
All of this explains Mrs. Clinton’s abrupt about face on the Trans Pacific Partnership that she had previously called the gold standard of trade agreements:
It took Donald Trump’s takeover of the Republican Party to finally shed light on the extent that these trade deals were hurting working class Americans. Once Mrs. Clinton realized how vulnerable she was on this issue she immediately began claiming to be against the TPP because it had been changed in the period following her lauding of it. Remember her words, “you need both a public and a private position,” to lead the ignorant masses to their own slaughter.
It is doubtful Mrs. Clinton ever read a word of it, either before she endorsed it or after. It’s much more likely she simply accepted money from lobbyists for the corporations and banks with vested interests in the passage of TPP, and then instructed staffers to insert whatever wording those anteing up the money wanted. In Mrs. Clinton’s world money buys access and access begets influence.
Further proof of Mrs. Clinton’s desire for completely open borders and, her desire to help corporations and bankers to continue fleecing American workers of their dwindling wealth and prosperity is revealed in the Wikileaks dump of a speech she gave to Brazilian bank in 2013 when she said, “My dream is a hemispheric common market, with open trade and open borders.”
Let’s stop the charade. There is nothing in Mrs. Clinton’s past to suggest she gives a damn about any Americans, White, Black or anyone else but herself. Nothing.
