Elder Patriot – Anyone who thinks that the extent of the damage wrought on our country’s great institutions during Barack Obama’s regime is over, or will be easily reversed now that we have a president that loves America, just doesn’t understand the evil calculus that Obama’s smile and cordial manner hid.
Shortly after Obama was elected, Rush Limbaugh said it would take decades to undo the damage a Marxist president could do, if it was ever to be undone. It’s hard to believe even Rush understood the depth of how severely Obama would be able to corrupt every aspect of our government when he made that warning.
A recent news story about a West Point grad stands as alarming proof of just how severely our country has been compromised.
When the generals at the top of our military’s chain of command refused to compromise on issues important to maintaining a focused and determined fighting force Obama fired them and installed generals who would.
The revelations that recent West Point grad Spenser Rapone had outed himself as a radical Marxist with numerous Facebook posts in 2015, and that everyone the USMA command looked the other way, should be beyond shocking.
The oath of enlistment and for commissioned officers follows:
“I, _______, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I ill support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”
Lieutenant Colonel Robert M. Heffington had an encounter in November of 2015 with then Cadet Rampone. Rampone’s insubordination led LTC Heffington to do a little research into the cadet immediately following their run-in. What he discovered should have led to Cadet Rampone’s expulsion from the Academy.
Along with a string of Marxist screeds, LTC Heffington found this social media post from Rampone:
“F*ck this country and its false freedom.”
LTC Heffington notified Rampone’s chain of command about his findings and then wrote a sworn statement outlining what he saw as criminal behavior threatening the discipline, law and order of the Army in gross violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice:
“From his various online rantings and posts, it appears that DCT Rapone is an avowed Marxist, which is completely out of line with the values of this nation and its Army. Moreover, CDT Rapone’s posts indicate that he hates West Point, the U.S. Army, and indeed this country. One post dated 16 November 2015 states, ‘F*ck this country and its false freedom.’ He also … even implicitly justifies the actions of ISIS and blames the United States for terrorist attacks.”
“Cadet Rampone’s statements bespeak either a severe mental or psychological disorder, or a genuine commitment to values and ideals wholly at odds with those of West Point and the Army. If the former is true, he is dangerously unbalanced, and therefore not suited for military service. If the latter is true, he is a coward and a hypocrite who refuses to discontinue his association with an institution that, as he sees it, is tool of an inherently unjust, immoral, and imperialist state… the Army does not have the luxury of allowing him the opportunity to sort out his beliefs while charged with the sacred duty of leading American Soldiers.”
Just as concerning should be the official response from West Point’s Public Affairs office that only said Rapone’s pro-communism tweets using the hashtag #VetsForKaepernick, “in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army… Second Lieutenant Rapone’s chain of command is aware of his actions and is looking into the matter.”
Looking into what? LTC Heffington’s conclusion that Rampone wasn’t suited for service in the Army should’ve ended his military career with a dishonorable discharge.
“I cannot reconcile the image of a first class cadet at West Point with the things he has posted online for the world to see. To me, these are red flags that cannot be ignored, and I fail to see how this individual can possibly graduate and become a commissioned officer in six months.”
As distressing as Rampone’s story is, it’s much more troubling that nothing has been done about it and it speaks to the breakdown within our military under the direction of Barack Hussein Obama.
Retired Army Colonel Kurt Schlichter penned an article titled, “Our Broken Military Can’t Even Manage to Toss Out Traitors,” in which he declared the toleration of Rapone’s communist activism the “the pinnacle of the military’s moral bankruptcy.”
“The real story isn’t this one loser. It’s not even the other losers who knew what he was and said and did nothing. It’s the chain of command. We need to know exactly what the faculty and staff at West Point knew about Comrade Cadet Rapone’s treachery. If they did know –– and I bet we will find out that he was counseled in writing about it — every officer from his first line supervisor to the USMA Superintendent must be relieved and reprimanded.”
How could anyone trust this man to defend the country against enemies, foreign and domestic, when he believes we are the enemy?
A good place to begin this investigation might be with Dr. Rasheed Hosein in whose office the initial argument between Rampone and his fellow cadets grew so loud that LTC Heffington felt compelled to become involved.
Dr. Hossein has been teaching Western Civilization and Middle Eastern history at West Point since 2011. He earned his doctorate from the University of Chicago in 2010.
Do not comfort yourself that Cadet Rampone is the result of a failure in a singular chain of command. If you imagine similar infiltration into other chains of command within every institution of our government you are getting just a small glimpse of Obama’s treachery. Making matters worse is the complete control the Marxists now maintain over our schools and our colleges and universities.
Under the education cabal, Obama has spawned a lost generation of Marxists that may undermine American exceptionalism for more decades than even Rush imagined back in 2008.
