Wanna Puke? Sanctimonious Comey Tries Distancing Himself From Mueller’s Failure to Find Collusion

Elder Patriot – | After ignoring the obvious federal felonies committed by the presidential candidate of one party, and prosecuting an investigation without predicate of the presidential candidate of the other major political party, disgraced former FBI Director James Comey now attempts to distance himself from the mess that he caused.

Comey, who has brought our country to verge of a civil war, where the body politic may be irreparably damaged, submitted this Op-ed to the NY Times that is worded to provide safe cover for himself in anticipation of lack of substance that will fill the pages of the Mueller Report.

… But not everyone knows what it “must” say. Even though I believe Mr. Trump is morally unfit to be president of the United States, I’m not rooting for Mr. Mueller to demonstrate that he is a criminal. I’m also not rooting for Mr. Mueller to “clear” the president. I’m not rooting for anything at all, except that the special counsel be permitted to finish his work, charge whatever cases warrant charging and report on his work.

Let’s get this straight.  James Comey, has shown himself to be a sanctimonious punk.

Now that we’re on the eve of the special counsel confirming the same thing that the FBI under Comey’s leadership couldn’t find evidence of, Trump collusion with Russia.

As much as he’d like to, Comey can’t hide from his Congressional testimony in the case of Hillary Clinton or the text message of the Special agent in charge of the Russian collusion probe.

Investigators discovered documentation that Comey began writing his statement exonerating Clinton in May of 2016.  This would lead to the conclusion that Comey perjured himself while being interrogated by Ratcliffe during an appearance before House investigators.

Ratcliffe: Did you make the decision not to recommend criminal charges relating to classified information before or after Hillary Clinton was interviewed by the FBI on July 2nd?

Comey: After.

There is also this stunning admission from FBI attorney Lisa Page’s testimony that Comey willingly abided by rather than speak up as would be expected of any honest law enforcement officer.

Ms. Page: “Everybody talks about this as if this was the FBI investigation, and the truth of the matter is there was not a single step, other than the July 5th [Comey exoneration] statement, there was not a single investigative step that we did not do in consultation with or at the direction of the Justice Department.”

Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX): “Okay. So let me if I can, I know I’m testing your memory, but when you say advice you got from the Department, you’re making it sound like it was the Department that told you: You’re not going to charge gross negligence because we’re the prosecutors and we’re telling you we’re not going to …”

Ms. Page: “That is correct.”

Rep. Ratcliffe: “… bring a case based on that.”

Hey Jimbo, who is morally unfit to hold the position they held/hold?

There’s simply no way for Comey to claim any high moral ground for having first violated the trust that was placed in him by clearing a career criminal to run for president while concurrently using his powers to initiate a counterintelligence witch-hunt against her opponent.

Even his claim that he has no idea what the Muller report will say is unbelievable.  Comey and Mueller are close friends and many of the investigators on the special counsel’s team have either worked closely with or for Comey.

Comey, as much as anyone in this equation, is responsible for the political civil war that we now endure.

A real man would own it.
