V.P.’s Son Hunter Biden Uses Interview With Sympathetic Left-Wing New Yorker Magazine to Frame Narrative Covering For His Father’s Corruption

Elder Patriot – Hunter Biden recently gave an interview to Adam Entous of the New Yorker.  The story that resulted paints a long history of “poor choices” by the son of presidential candidate Joe Biden.\

Longtime political pundit Mollie Hemmingway characterized the purpose of the author’s narrative:

This is a successful attempt to dump all of Hunter Biden’s baggage with one of the friendliest/reporter/outlets available. But holy cow is the scandal per paragraph ratio high, despite reading like pro-Biden propaganda. My mouth was agape through much.

All the alibiing and deflection aside, there’s no way to deny that Hunter Biden made a fortune using his father’s influence.  And, the number of deals that relied on his father’s influence spanned many years.

In other words, why didn’t longtime U.S. senator, vice president, and now presidential candidate, Joe Biden put an end to Hunter’s illicit financial self-enrichment?  And, why are we only now hearing about Joe’s dirty dealings?

The most recent revelation regarding Hunter relates how the younger Biden admitted that Chinese energy tycoon Ye Jianming had gifted a large 2.8 carat diamond to him as the foreign businessman was attempting to build his base of political influencers.

In a court filing as part of their divorce proceeding, Hunter’s former wife, Kathleen, claimed the diamond is worth $80,000.

Entous accepted Biden’s half-assed excuse on its face:

When I asked him if he thought the diamond was intended as a bribe, he said no: “What would they be bribing me for? My dad wasn’t in office.” Hunter said that he gave the diamond to his associates, and doesn’t know what they did with it. “I knew it wasn’t a good idea to take it. I just felt like it was weird,” he said.

This is the takeaway Entous wants to leave us with.  But, there’s waaaay more to Biden’s corruption than an oversized diamond.

There’s only passing mention of Joe and Hunter Biden’s dealings with China.  And, that is to excuse any mention of it as the work of overactive conservative conspiracy theorists.

Perhaps, but there is no denying the facts:

“In December of 2013, Vice President Biden and his son Hunter flew aboard Air Force Two to China.  Ten days after the trip, a subsidiary of the Bank of China named Bohai Capital signed an exclusive deal with Hunter Biden’s firm to form a $1 billion joint-investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST.  The deal was later increased to $1.5 billion.”

The media has never asked Joe Biden to comment on how the firm of a sitting vice president’s son was permitted to bag a billion-and-a-half-dollar deal with the Communist Chinese government.

But there’s one story that Biden can’t hide from, no matter how the media endeavors to ignore it.

Biden openly admitted that he threatened Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko with pulling $1 Billion in U.S. loan guarantees if he didn’t fire Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

“I said, ‘You’re not getting the billion.’ I’m going to be leaving here in I think it was about six hours. I looked at them and said: ‘I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.’”

“Well, son of a bitch, he got fired.”

Why did Biden want Shokin removed?  Hold onto your hat.

The prosecutor was leading a wide-ranging corruption investigation into a natural gas firm, Burisma Holdings.  Biden’s son, Hunter, sat on the board of directors of Burisma Holdings.

With this in mind, the current Democratic presidential front-runner’s comments about China take on a new meaning:

Biden: “China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man.

“They can’t even figure out how to deal with the fact that they have this great division between the China Sea and the mountains in the east, I mean in the west.

“They can’t figure out how they are going to deal with the corruption that exists within the system. I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not competition for us.”

Consider how the pro-China, pro-Marxist mainstream media accuses President Trump of accepting emoluments when foreign dignitaries stay in his hotels, their silence on Biden’s finances is deafening.

The fact is the president’s opponents don’t care about shutting down the profits Trump derives from hotels.  They’d like it just fine if the president left office and made ten billion dollars from foreign political visitors.

No, what they’re really afraid of is that President Trump is going to shut down the profits they make from the sale of America’s assets.
