ELDER PATRIOT – Last week President Trump appeared to be distancing himself from his Attorney General Jeff Session when he told the New York Times:
“Sessions should have never recused himself and if he was going to recuse himself he should have told me before he took the job and I would have picked somebody else.”
Trump loves Sessions and is deeply indebted for the early and unwavering support that Sessions provided his nascent campaign. We all know that Trump is loyal to a fault. So what gives?
Try this on for size: The shit is about to hit the fan as Sessions has told the president that he is finalizing his case before convening a Grand Jury where he will present evidence seeking a series of indictments against Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Trump used the Times’ interview to once again troll the MSM and they took the bait – hook, line and sinker – conflating the seriousness of the rift between Trump and Sessions.
Now the coming indictments will appear to be less political coming as they will be from an A.G. that has a contentious relationship with the president.
Trump tipped his confidence that Sessions is close to finalizing the case against Hillary Clinton with a couple of tweets earlier today.
The first one came a little before 8am:
This indicated Trump having been briefed that the evidence against the Washington establishment is even worse and more expansive than he had imagined.
How many of Washington’s establishment elites will be caught up in this should be fascinating to see. Will CNN and other MSM sources be implicated as well?
Two hours later Trump tipped that the sewer he was referring to was Hillary Clinton’s Russian involvement:
He used this tweet to admonish Republican lawmakers who have done nothing to advance the agenda of the American people or to defend Trump and his White House from what everyone knows has been unjust allegations of collusion.
But, it’s his compassioned description of his good friend, A.G. Sessions, as beleaguered that indicate a warmth and respect for Sessions that likely is a result of Sessions’ preparedness to carry the case against the Clintons to a Grand Jury.
