ELDER PATRIOT – The left is so threatened by Donald Trump’s America First agenda that it is exerting force wherever it can to slow the Trump train.
Everyone is aware of California’s problem with violent gangs like MS-13 that spread fear throughout the communities where they terrorize residents. Composed mostly of illegal immigrants, these are the miscreants that Trump, “vowed to immediately deport.” Trump estimated that there are, “as many as three million undocumented immigrants, specifically those with criminal records such as gang members and drug dealers.”
You’d think this would thrill everyone. After all, criminals don’t normally ask for a person’s political affiliation before harming them. The fact that there is a move to resist Trump’s long overdue deportation initiative raises serious questions about those blocking it.
According to the Voiceofoc, “organizations such as the Urban Peace Institute in Los Angeles and the ACLU of Southern California are calling for a moratorium on the use of the database until the auditor’s recommendations are implemented, and are asking [California Attorney General} Harris to cancel a California Department of Justice agreement that allows federal immigration enforcement agents to search the CalGang database.”
What??? These groups are demanding that the state “block federal access to the state’s controversial gang database out of fears that the Trump administration will use it to deport unauthorized immigrants who’ve been erroneously labeled as gang members.”
These immigration advocates are creating a striking conflict of civil liberties. They are defending the “rights” of illegal immigrants whose have already committed the offense of entering the country illegally at the expense of the absolute right to safety of Americans whose Constitutional rights were guaranteed by their birth.
Oh, but these are radical Left-wing groups that don’t speak for the majority of either political party, you say? Then why are mayors in sanctuary cities across the country vowing to obstruct Trump’s effort to rid our neighborhoods of illegal immigrant criminals? Shouldn’t the safety of their residents trump any other considerations?
The Washington Post proclaimed, “mayors from major cities across the country, including New York, Chicago, and San Francisco…are vowing not to coordinate with federal law enforcement to deport undocumented residents.”
Those who continue defending illegal immigration – including Paul Ryan, Andrew McCarthy, and other House and Senate Republicans who are aligning against Trump – are clearly focused on de-legitimizing our Constitution to advance their open borders agenda. Trump, in the process of putting Americans first, is succeeding in de-legitimizing them, instead.
