Trey Gowdy Smiles & Grants OIG Delay: This is Bad News For Comey

Elder Patriot – Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report detailing Obama-era wrongdoing that was rampant throughout the DOJ and the FBI had expected to be released this week and he was scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee next week.  That has all been postponed for now.  This, however, is one postponement we shouldn’t be upset about.

According to a source with knowledge of Horowitz’s work, he is pursuing new leads in the Clinton email investigation.  That can’t be good news for former FBI Director James Comey… or, Mrs. Clinton.

Comey’s Deputy director, a criminal indictment has already been referred against Andrew McCabe and his minion Peter Strzok, who essentially buried the Clinton email case, has cut a deal in exchange for his testimony.  That leave Comey as the odd man out.

Trey Gowdy, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, seems confident enough about the report’s contents considering a letter he wrote to Horowitz that asked the I.G. to do a complete job:

“It is of the utmost importance that your review be as fulsome, complete and unimpeded as possible.”

In other words, take your time and don’t forget anything or leave anything out.

Gowdy has become famous for his legendary examinations of Clinton, Comey and other members of the corrupt Deep State and he is likely chomping at the bit to finally get the goods on them and he doesn’t want the IG to miss a single salacious, and in this case fully verified, detail.

Assistant Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who has come under fire for his past associations with Mueller and for appointing him to be a special counsel, seems to believe he’s in the clear here:

“Within the next few weeks, I anticipate that our inspector general will complete a comprehensive, fair and nonpartisan report that answers many questions about how the Department of Justice handled a high-profile investigation during the last presidential campaign.  We will learn from it, and our Department will do better in the future.”

And he might be, at least as far as Horowitz’s work is concerned, considering he was nowhere near the DOJ while Loretta Lynch was serving as Obama’s conduit and ordering Comey’s corrupt management of the FBI.

The OIG released a single element of the investigation in a 39-page report last month and it resulted in McCabe’s termination and his likely prosecution.  As they say, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!”

This is one postponement that will be well worth waiting for.
