ELDER PATRIOT – Whenever Barack Obama was feeling the heat over his failed policies here at home he would head overseas to trash America’s conservatives. He always found crowds willing to cheer his anti-Americana diatribes because they were jealous of the freedoms that provided the foundation for our nation’s incredible accomplishments.
Obama counted on the optics that the throngs of cheering foreigners could be used back home to convince Americans that they were out of step with the rest of the world. It was one of the propaganda tools Obama used in his efforts to cut America down to size.
Well, yesterday John McCain delivered a speech to the Munich Security Council trying to save Angela Merkel’s failed Chancellorship. McCain attacked every aspect of President Donald Trump’s America First worldview to the German body that is deeply vested in maintaining the European Union, trans global trade agreements, and open borders all with an endgame of a single world government.
For the foreseeable future, with Britain having already voted to leave the EU, Italy on the brink of doing so, and France rapidly moving in that direction, Merkel sees this as her opportunity to finally exercise German control over the remainder of Europe in a way that Hitler failed to accomplish.
McCain could not have been more anti-American in repudiating the increasingly popular U.S. president when he addressed the globalist body:
“[The founders of the Munich conference} would be alarmed by an increasing turn away from universal values and toward old ties of blood and race and sectarianism.”
“They would be alarmed by the hardening resentment we see towards immigrants and refugees and minority groups, especially Muslims.”
“They would be alarmed by the growing inability, and even unwillingness, to separate truth from lies.”
“They would be alarmed that more and more of our fellow citizens seem to be flirting with authoritarianism and romanticizing it as our moral equivalent.”
If you think that’s bad, he was only warming up. It gets worse:
“But what would alarm them the most, I think, is a sense that many of our peoples, including in my own country, are giving up on the West.”
”I know there is profound concern across Europe and the world that America is laying down the mantle of global leadership.”
Hey, screw you McCain. You dare to stand before a foreign body and feed the lustful global oligarchs fodder for their gristmill while Americans – real hardworking American citizens – are being taxed into oblivion, finding employment opportunities dwindling or non-existence, dying in foreign wars, and increasingly unsafe in their own neighborhoods?
Contrary to McCain’s lie, Donald Trump is asserting American leadership. Rather than simply going along with policies that McCain advocates and that has destroyed so many of our individual freedoms and prosperity, President Trump is charting a new course and the peoples of many nations are hearing it loudly and clearly.
Unlike McCain’s vision of collectively weakening the previously successful nations of the world so they’ll conform to the new world order he desires, Trump is seeking to strengthen the U.S. and our allies each on an individual basis so that the whole of our agreements is stronger than it would be otherwise.
Someone should ask McCain why he didn’t deliver this anti-American screed to the people of Arizona when he was running for re-election last fall. After all, as president, Donald Trump is only delivering on what he promised and as he is doing so his approval rating is soaring.
McCain has run bait and switch campaigns for the affections of Arizonans since he first ran for the U.S. House of Representatives in 1982 and America has been the worse off for it.
Arizonans didn’t listen when we sounded the alarm about McCain early last year. Now America will have to live with him for another six years.
