Release the Kraken!!! We can hope anyway.
(Daily Caller) Sen. Ron Johnson, the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, is preparing to issue the panel’s first subpoena as part of an investigation into Burisma Holdings, the Ukrainian energy company linked to Hunter Biden, he said in a letter on Sunday.
Johnson, a Wisconsin Republican, told Democratic Michigan Sen. Gary Peters of his plans to subpoena Andrii Telizhenko, a former Ukrainian embassy official and former consultant for Blue Star Strategies, a firm that Burisma hired to fight against corruption allegations.
Telizhenko, who was a consultant for Blue Star from July 2016 to June 2017, has provided some documents to the committee, according to Johnson. But he says that he cannot turn over others without a subpoena because they are protected by a non-disclosure agreement.
“He cannot provide this responsible information unless he is compelled to do so by subpoena,” Johnson wrote to Peters in his letter, which was first reported by CBS News.
It’s clear from the immediate disinformation campaign that followed Johnson’s announcement the Democrats have entered into full-blown panic mode.
Anyone who has been following the actions of Democrats since they took control of the House could only conclude that they think investigating corruption – even when there is no evidence to warrant it – is the sole purpose of Congress.
As I recall, Democrats excused their violation of the FISA process because Donald Trump wanted to be president. Well, Joe Biden wants to be president.
The difference is:
- No confidential informants have been run against the Bidens as they were against Trump.
- There is no secret dossier, compiled by a political opposition research firm and paid for by his opponent as was done by the DNC and the Clinton campaign.
- There’s been no reported violations of the FISA process as was committed to gain access to the personal records of Trump’s family, business associates and virtually everyone else he had contact with.
Under attack by Democrats employing all of these questionable and sometimes illegal tactics, President Trump engaged Rudy Giuliani, a former federal prosecutor who proved the largest RICO case against organized crime in NYC, to represent him.
The level and extent of the corruption that Rudy uncovered was shocking, even to a seasoned federal prosecutor:
If Democrats thought they could limit the political fallout by jettisoning Joe Biden, they would throw him overboard in a heartbeat.
Look how quickly Democrats disposed of Michael Bloomberg, who they recruited to be their white knight, after he spent three-quarters of a billion dollars on the cash starved party.
Clearly, they can’t run away from Filthy Joe… because the contamination is rampant throughout the Democrat Party, according to Mr. Giuliani.
The Bidens’ mess is one of their own making. But, Giuliani contends that the contagion from it runs to the highest levels of the Obama administration.
On February 10th, U.S. Attorney General William Barr announced that the DOJ had established an “intake process” for Giuliani’s evidence and had already been reviewing it for weeks.
That was confirmed by CBS News’ Catherine Herridge the very next day…

(Washington) — Justice Department officials have been “quietly” reviewing records and documents from Ukraine for “several weeks,” a source familiar with the matter tells CBS News.
The source said staff outside of Main Justice in Washington have been assigned by Attorney General William Barr to review the Ukraine matter, adding that the review is being handled by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Pittsburgh and is separate from U.S. Attorney John Durham’s probe into the origins of the FBI’s Russia probe.
The new review includes some material provided by Rudy Giuliani, the president’s personal attorney, but goes beyond matters regarding former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, who served on the board of a Ukrainian energy company.
All of this took place well before Super Tuesday and, in many instances, before Joe Biden announced his candidacy.
As soon as Johnson announced he wanted to hear testimony from Telizhenko, the Democrat/Marxist aligned media immediately moved into narrative repetition mode claiming that the investigation of Biden was politically motivated because of his surge on Super Tuesday.
Of course the four investigations into Trump’s non-existent ties to Russia weren’t politically motivated.
Then there’s this fact that doesn’t square with the narrative: It was Biden’s sudden surge on Tuesday… Johnson’s initial letter regarding Telizhenko was on February 27th when Biden was languishing behind a host of Democrat candidates.
(TPM) Sen. Gary Peters (D-MI), the Committee’s ranking member, purportedly told Johnson in a Feb. 27 letter that the Committee should “receive defensive briefings — specifically regarding Mr. Telizhenko — from relevant intelligence community and law enforcement officials.”
Johnson wrote in the letter that Committee staff called the FBI on Saturday, and received “a response that directly addressed the stated concerns” and referenced a classified “intelligence product” regarding Telizhenko, before emphasizing the narrowness of the panel’s interest in the Ukrainian lobbyist.
Telizhenko told TPM on Monday that his “main goal” was “to have the authorities investigate what happened in Ukraine.”
“So it won’t happen again,” he added.
Democrats should agree with Telizhenko’s desire to make sure it doesn’t happen again… after all, didn’t they justify the Mueller investigation as imperative to preventing future election interference by foreign governments.
The time has come for Democrats to take their medicine…
The real question will be answered by Mitch McConnell… what lengths will he go to in order to protect his Democrat “colleagues.”
