Senate Chairman Calls For Obama-Clinton Special Prosecutor

Elder Patriot – In the face of bombshell revelations surrounding the details surrounding the sale of uranium to Russia, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) has called for the Department of Justice to appoint a special counsel.

The sale of 20% of America’s uranium reserves at the same time that the F.B.I. was in possession of evidence that Russia was involved in bribery and laundering money with those involved should disqualify the F.B.I. from what would amount to investigating itself.

There’s also the question of why the players involved funneled $145 million to the Clinton Foundation.

According to a confidential informant, the F.B.I. had briefed President Obama on multiple occasions of the bribery, extortion, money laundering, and kickbacks that were taking place.

Considering the importance of uranium as the fissile material in nuclear bombs why would the president of the United States, in concert with his Secretary of State, and his Attorney General (who the F.B.I. directly reports to) agree to sell any amount of the element to a hostile foreign nation?

Russia has at least 1200 nuclear warheads trained on the United States at all times.  Why did Obama and Clinton vote to give Putin the option of adding to the threat?

The case can be made that this transcends bribery and extortion and rises to the level of treason.

While the public is growing weary of the constant investigations it is the price of cleaning out the corruption that has become deeply ingrained in our politics.

While conservatives cringed during the investigation into Donald Trump, they can now be confident that after a year of searching nothing has surfaced to challenge the president’s assertions that he broke no laws.

By the standards employed in Washington, President Trump is pristine and just the right person to lead the crusade he promised to during his campaign – drain the swamp.

Now, it’s the Clintons and Obama’s turn in the barrel and it doesn’t look like they can survive even a superficial review of their involvements.

Unlike the Trump investigation where the special counsel has had to look deeply into every person and transaction Donald Trump has been involved with and has still found nothing of substance, a new special counsel won’t have to dig very hard or take nearly as long when investigating the Clintons and the ex-president.

The evidence against Obama, the Clintons, then-Attorney General Eric Holder, then-lead investigator Rod Rosenstein who is now second in command at the Justice Department, and now second in command at the F.B.I. Andrew McCabe who was in charge of that agency’s management of the investigation is as shocking as it is damning.

Oh, let’s not ignore the fact that the special counsel investigating President Trump was the director of the F.B.I. while all of this was taking place.

They had clear evidence of Russian bribery, extortion, money laundering, and kickbacks and did nothing to stop it.  That alone is damning.  Especially because, in ginning up their attacks on Donald Trump, they have made it abundantly clear that Russia is a hostile actor.

But, to then agree to breach our national security by selling Russia the materiel necessary to build additional nuclear weapons defies explanation.

It would appear it is so illogical that even Hillary Clinton demanded $145 million to sign on to the sale.

For those of you that have grown weary of constant investigations with no one ever being held accountable, hold onto your hats.  This one is virtually certain to yield results.

The appointment of a special counsel to look into this will reveal much, much more than we are able to imagine.

The right special counsel, not one who is determined to protect the status quo, can use this appointment to root out Washington’s corruption that extends to members of both the House and Senate.

The right special counsel must not be chosen from the inside-the-beltway crowd.  The sad reality is that a person with strong Washington ties will come under great pressure to protect as many of the corrupt as possible so as to make certain that the puppet masters maintain as much control over the House and Senate as possible.

The right special counsel can make our dream of term limits a reality.

If you’re one of the vast majority of people who have been clamoring for term limits this would be the next best thing.  It’s unrealistic to believe that corrupt politicians will ever vote to limit themselves to tow or three terms.

The right special counsel can make our dream of draining the swamp a reality.
