ELDER PATRIOT – How can anybody possibly believe anything that our intelligence agencies tell us about Donald Trump, or anything or anybody else for that matter, after Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer told us they are guided by political objectives and personal animus’?
Remember when he said this to Rachel Maddow?
“Let me tell you, you take on the intelligence community they have six ways to Sunday in getting back at you.”
Maddow followed up by asking what Schumer “thought the intelligence agencies might do if they were motivated to?”
Schumer’s responded, “I don’t know but from what I understand they are very upset with how he has treated them and talked about them.”
So what? They are either above partisan politics or they’re not and mounting evidence suggests that they are as politicized as every other government agency.
Remember when Iowa Senator Frank Church got then CIA Director William Colby to admit they had an extensive web of CIA paid operatives in every area of the mainstream media (newspapers, television news, periodicals, radio news, etc.) charged with directing a narrative to influence the way Americans think and what they believe?
Church was shocked which means that no one in the senate or congress knew what the CIA had been up to. That ignorance likely went all the way to the White House. How many other of our intelligence agencies are running their own clandestine operations?
The CIA ceased being solely an intelligence-gathering agency more than half a century ago. That’s when they moved into formulating policy and carrying out covert activities to affect public policy.
Schumer, ever the partisan Deep State hack very heavily suggested that whether you are clean or not doesn’t matter, our intelligence agencies should be feared for the many ways they can manufacture evidence against someone that they view as their enemy, either politically or personally.
Remember when Former CIA Deputy Director Michael Morell acknowledged the U.S. intelligence colluded to convince Americans on behalf of warmongers in Washington, that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction before the 2003 invasion.
Tens of thousands of dead, and many more injured, American military personnel and they conveniently dismiss it as simply one of the biggest intelligence failures in the history of the organization.
The most recent Wikileaks’ Vault 7 release revealed the CIA’s massive technological arsenal that they can and have used to influence policy and eliminate its political opposition.
Already NPR has been established that the United States meddled in foreign elections more than 80 times since 1946 including Barack Obama’s direct payment of taxpayer funds to defeat Benjamin Netanyahu. Why would anyone believe the same Deep State tactics would be limited to use abroad?
However Wikileaks has obtained the information it is releasing is now secondary to the contents of these releases. There are six more vaults to be released. Each one is scheduled to be more revealing than the one that has come before. For our intel agencies there are six more rings of hell for them to endure.
Are we as a people so naïve as to believe the 22,000 employees at the CIA are all as pure as the freshly driven snow?
