Elder Patriot – House Speaker Paul Ryan is a member of the Gang of Eight, which means he is in possession of the most classified level of information. He has also been carrying water for the #Resistance since prior to Donald Trump’s presidency and since
With that in mind, nothing proves Speaker Ryan’s fealty to the Cabal, or his complete ignorance of events around him, more than the position he staked out only 10 days ago.
(CNN) House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Intelligence Chairman Richard Burr, both Republicans, broke with President Donald Trump on Wednesday over allegations spies infiltrated his 2016 campaign, saying they agree with GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy that the FBI did “exactly” what it should have done over its handling of a confidential source.
The declarations by the leading Republicans are the latest indications that Trump lacks any evidence to back up his claims of a major political scandal he calls “spygate” — since those lawmakers were among a select group briefed on the classified intelligence at issue. The only Republican briefed on the intelligence who has yet to break from Trump is Rep. Devin Nunes, the House Intelligence chairman who has demanded more documents as part of his investigation.
The Mockingbird media ran Ryan’s position through its echo chamber. Here’s the headline from the Washington Post:
“Paul Ryan splits with Trump. Says no evidence FBI spied on President’s Campaign.”
Now remember, Ryan had the same knowledge of everything that the CIA, FBI and DOJ had conspired to do that House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes was privy to. In fact, given the compartmentalized nature of the briefings it’s likely that Ryan may have been told even more about the weaponization of DOJ-FBI-CIA than Nunes was.
So, while people are asking what did Obama know and when did he know it, it’s high time we start asking the same questions of Paul Ryan.
Even if Ryan had been kept in the dark by Brennan, Comey and Clapper he had to have been given at least the same intelligence briefings that Nunes was given. That leaves us with only two conclusions:
- Ryan is too naive or politically biased to interpret the factual evidence presented to him. That is a disqualification for the Speaker who stands behind only Vice President Mike Pence in line to the presidency in the event of a tragedy.
- With the release of the IG report, Ryan has been caught knowingly defending the cabal that makes him a participant in a direct affront to our representative democracy. According to your personal point of view, this may be an even greater disqualification for such high office.
Either way, in light of the Inspector General’s comprehensive report outlining more than 500 pages of conspiratorial wrongdoing by agencies that Ryan has been charged with oversight over, there is a massive cleanup of these agencies that must be undertaken if Americans are too have their faith restored that this a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.
The process will demand impeachments, firings, and prison sentences.
And, it’s now as clear as the nose on your face, Paul Ryan cannot be trusted with that task.
