New Text Messages Reveal FBI Agent Planned to Coerce Judge

Elder Patriot – Newly released text messages showed that F.B.I. agent Peter Strzok, who ignored and then destroyed evidence of Hillary Clinton’s email violation of the Espionage Act, sought to coerce the FISA court judge presiding over the Michael Flynn investigation.

Strzok and his girlfriend, F.B.I. attorney Lisa Page planned to “nudge the judge,” FISC Judge Rudy Contreras, by hosting a small dinner party with him.

On July 25, 2016, Page texted Strzok knowing that Strzok was friendly with the presiding judge in the Flynn investigation: “Rudy is on the FISC! Did you know that? Just appointed two months ago … I need to get together with him.”

Strzok: “Really? Rudy. I’m in charge of espionage for the FBI. Any espionage FISA comes before him, what should he do? Given his friend oversees them?”

Page: “Standards for recusal are quite high. I just don’t think this poses an actual conflict. And he doesn’t know what you do?”

Strzok: “Generally he does know what I do. Not the level or scope or area but he’s super thoughtful and rigorous about ethics and conflicts. (redacted) suggested a social setting with others would probably be better than a one on one meeting. I’m sorry, I’m just going to have to invite you to that cocktail party. Of course, you’ll be there. Have to come up with some other work people cover for action.”

Page: “Why more? Six is a perfectly fine dinner party.”

The fact that Strzok and Contreras knew each other should come as no surprise.  As an F.B.I. Counterintelligence agent, Strzok likely appeared before Contreras numerous times while making other FISA applications.

What is stunning is that Contreras recused himself after Flynn pled guilty coupled with the fact that the Justice Department has been stonewalling Congressional investigators working to expose the DOJ and F.B.I.’s treasonous actions on behalf of protecting the Clinton campaign and intent on destroying the Trump presidency.

Members of the House Oversight Committee, Jim Jordan and Mark Meadows said they have only received 3,162 “unique documents” of the 1.2 million documents possessed by the Inspector General’s team.

Jordan and Meadows have been restricted by rules established by DOJ officials allowing congressional investigators only to review the less-redacted version of the pairs’ text messages at DOJ headquarters and only the highly redacted version of the texts were allowed to be removed during the ongoing process.

In what other world do those being investigated get to choose the evidence the investigators can see?

The text messages between Strzok and Page do not prove the intent of the dinner party was to discuss either Russia or Flynn but both have been the highest profile, most publicized, and most damaging to our republic, cases to come before the FISC, and perhaps ever.

As Rep. Meadows has said: “recusal for a judge is a very high bar.”

The Democrats turned the DOJ, the F.B.I., and the FISC into highly politicized weapons aimed at Donald Trump and now they are claiming any attempts to learn the truth are politically motivated and intended damage our intelligence networks.

If Dems are so confident that there has been no wrongdoing why isn’t the requested material being made available to Republican investigators?

Meadows is only asking for the documents that those charged by the Constitution with oversight of the intelligence community should have access to:

“The only thing we would not have access to is grand jury material and some classified documents.  There is no reason why we cannot get the same documents the Inspector General has.”

The scary thing is that not a single Democrat has publicly agreed that oversight is necessary.  Not a single one!

Former F.B.I. Deputy Director Andrew McCabe was fired last night on recommendations from the Inspector General and the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).

I.G. Michael Horowitz’s full report – the work of 500 investigators – is expected to be completed within weeks.  If McCabe’s firing is any indication of what’s to come it does not portend a good showing in the midterms for the Democrats who have rolled everything on taking down Trump rather than joining him in erasing the sins of their past.
