Elder Patriot – Back in August we chronicled how then FBI director Robert Mueller destroyed the life of Steven Hatfill an innocent biodefense researcher.
Hatfill was a virologist and biological weapons expert for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) at Fort Detrick. Following the anthrax attacks Mueller needed a conviction and set his sights on Hatfill.
Mueller became so obsessed with pinning the blame on Hatfill that he fell victim to detective myopia, a condition where a detective becomes so intent on proving their case that they lose all objectivity.
FBI agents harassed Hatfill around the clock in a tactic called bumper locking. If they couldn’t prove the case they’d have settled for Hatfill committing suicide and then closing the case.
And, every step along the way Mueller leaked the location of each encounter his agents had with Hatfill ahead of time so that the media could be there to document it to an American public anxious for information on the case.
Despite his life being destroyed – no one would hire him and his friends deserted him – Hatfill persevered and in 2008 the government awarded him $4.6 million and officially exonerated him.
This should be a cautionary tale for those Americans who are counting on Robert Mueller to provide a true and faithful accounting of Russian influence in our last presidential election.
It’s become apparent that Mueller’s problems with detective myopia still plague him. Worse, it still plagues the American politic.
In his search for evidence Mueller has been presented with tons of it. He even has testimony from an undercover informant who possesses reams of hard evidence including audio recordings and pictures. Mueller knows this because he authorized that undercover investigator’s work and paid him for it.
Mueller’s dilemma is that he was hired to destroy President Trump and none of that evidence points to Donald Trump. Even if we were to believe the centerpiece of Russian dossier, that Trump had prostitutes urinate on the bed that Barack Obama slept in that would not be a crime. That is unless they were underage like those that accompanied Bill and Hillary Clinton on convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s plane, aka the Lolita Express.
There are too many parallels between Mueller’s handling of the Trump investigation and his disregard for both the law and the evidence in the case of Steven Hatfill to allow him to continue on this witch-hunt.
As Mueller expands his jihad against Trump’s relatively innocent associates, scant few in in either house of Congress are calling for Mueller’s termination. Virtually none are calling for a refocusing of the investigation, or a parallel investigation, despite the abundance of evidence that exists against the Clintons.
Perhaps the reason for that is any legitimate inquiry would touch too close to home for the establishment sleaze.
It’s time to remember these words from an FBI agent with intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the Clintons’ criminal infiltration of our government:
“There is enough for her and the entire government to be brought down. People do not realize how enormous this whole situation actually is.
“The problem is with the Clinton Foundation as I mentioned, which you should just imagine as a massive spider web of connections and money laundering implicating hundreds of high-level people.
““…This case would explode into a million other cases if fully brought to light, and then we would be one agency competing against the entire government and a hoard of other interests. It is a very tense and uncomfortable position.”
Mueller’s jihad against Trump may be the swamp’s last attempt to save itself.
