Medical Examiner Makes it Official: Rules Jeffrey Epstein’s Cause of Death Was Suicide

Elder Patriot – To the surprise of absolutely no one, New York City’s chief medical examiner has conveniently ruled that Jeffrey Epstein hanged himself.

(Fox News) New York City’s chief medical examiner has ruled that disgraced financier and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein committed suicide by hanging in his prison cell last week.

In a brief statement Friday, Dr. Barbara Sampson said her ruling came following a “careful review of all investigative information, including complete autopsy findings.”

Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan early Saturday and was pronounced dead hours later. His lawyers said in a statement late Friday that they were “not satisfied” with Sampson’s ruling and vowed to conduct their own investigation, including seeking to obtain any video of the area around Epstein’s cell from the time leading to his death.

There’s virtually no reason to believe Sampsons findings are definitive when weighed against the other evidence:

– Dr. Mark Seigel appeared with Mark Steyn where he questioned the decision to remove Epstein from suicide watch so soon after they told us he had attempted it before.

Dr. Seigel: Why wasn’t he being observed? I can tell you that someone that’s supposedly been on suicide watch no phsychiatrist would take a person off of suicide watch in this kind of condition, this sex offender, and then say okay he’s fine, he says he’s fine.

That’s not how a psychiatrist would act.

– Dr. Seigal also appeared with David Asman where he questioned the possibility of suicide based on the multiple bones that were broken in Epstein’s neck.

Dr. Siegel: It certainly increased the chances that this was a murder than a suicide. Let me tell you why. The hyoid bone which is right here in the neck, a U-shaped bone…

In his case, the autopsy is now revealing that multiple bones were broken in his neck including the hyoid.

The hyoid bone might break in strangulation about one-third to one-half of the time. In suicide, hanging, it might break 6-10% of the time, depending on which study you look at…  There’s one out of Thailand, there’s one out of India. Much less percentage.

But in order to break that bone and multiple bones in the neck, David, you have to exert a lot of force if it’s a hanging. I don’t want to get to graphic, here but he supposedly hung himself off a bunk bed with sheets.

I’m thinking more a rope from a height.

More questions were raised this CBS report:

“Corrections officers may have falsified reports that the checked on Jeffrey Epstein as they were required by protocol.”

“Epstein was taken off suicide watch one week after apparent attempt to hang himself”

“Epstein’s cellmate posted bail leaving Epstein alone in his cell.”

Oh… and the surveillance cameras weren’t working either.  The cameras weren’t working, the guards weren’t working, the M.E.’s findings aren’t working.

U.S. Attorney General William Barr expressed his skepticism by reassigning the warden  and putting two staffers on leave..

Most people don’t care how Epstein died, just that another sex offender is dead.  But, as ABC News has reported, there’s powerful politicians, businessmen, and diplomats with strong motivation to see him dead.

Further evidence that something was amiss came from ABC News – one of the normally three blind mice – that apparently decided they couldn’t avoid this story any longer.

So pardon me if all of these procedural anomalies, coupled with the motivations of  powerful men to want Epstein silenced, can’t be washed away by a report from the NYC mayor’s political appointee
