Elder Patriot – Controlling the language is essential to the success of the progressive movement. Every policy designed to chip away at our freedoms can be explained, either because it’s for the greater good (collectivism) or because it’s made to sound as though you’re infringing on someone else’s rights.
“If any man’s money can be taken by a so-called government, without his own personal consent, all his other rights are taken with it; for with his money the government can, and will, hire soldiers to stand over him, compel him to submit to its arbitrary will, and kill him if he resists.” ― Lysander Spooner
This is the case with communist China whose incursion into Hong Kong is just the latest example of the jackboot of totalitarianism.
Instead of properly identifying it for what it is, an effort to squash protestors defending their freedoms, the media tells us we need to understand the cultural differences between the Chinese and the United States.
That argument fails when we realize that those are Chinese on the streets of Hong Kong who are risking their lives to preserve their freedoms.
Across the Taiwan Strait, what was once referred to as the free Chinese government in exile, sits Taiwan. Taiwan has every bit the same Chinese roots as Mainland China. Today, Taiwan is a vibrant and participatory society.
Men don’t yearn to be dominated. Too many wealthy men, however, yearn to dominate. For these men, communism is the perfect form of government.
President Trump has forced the ChiComs to admit they’re jackbooted authoritarians while the corrupt Washington establishment attempts to block him at every turn. Why?
This is lost on today’s American progressives who take to the streets to protest President Trump for dismantling the same concentration of power in our government that threatens their freedoms every bit as much as the communists deny freedoms to their citizens.
Progressives should look at these pictures to see how the Chinese communists handle protesters before they call President Trump a dictator:

This is how protesters are dealt with under authoritarian control.
Leftists used to clamor for the United States to export freedom to the rest of the world. Today, they’re clamoring for us to import totalitarianism.
