This July Fourth Remember to Celebrate America’s First War of Independence and Resolve to Reaffirm America’s Independence Again In November

ELDER PATRIOT – In the years leading up to July 4, 1776 Americans had grown weary of paying for the privilege of remaining attached to Britain.  The colonists viewed the relationship as too one-sided in favor of the Mother Country and set course on a great war for independence.

From our beginnings under the stewardship of George Washington and Alexander Hamilton, and on to every Republican president from Abraham Lincoln to Dwight Eisenhower they all put “America First” when it came to trade.  Their underlying belief was political independence required economic independence from any and all other nations.  Only in this way would America be able to avoid the economic ties that history lectures us have resulted in so many of the world’s previous wars.

The result of this philosophy saw America become the greatest manufacturing empire in the history of the world and we virtually always exported more goods than we imported.  America’s middle class expanded exponentially.

This led to America’s corporations and banks growing larger and they used their newfound muscle to begin wielding significantly more political influence.  Unfortunately their only patriotic spirit was and is to their bottom lines and they paid the way for trade agreements to be ushered through Congress.  These agreements universally favored the financial elite but with the help of the corporately owned mainstream media Americans were led to believe these legislative initiatives would eventually be good for them.  As the dust clears after almost three decades the results of these trade agreements are becoming evident and it is obvious that they came at the expense of American workers and the small businesses that sought to compete with their larger and more politically connected international counterparts.

Since 1991 when George H.W. Bush infamously called for the new world order America has witnessed the loss of one-third of her manufacturing jobs and the closing of 50,000 factories.  Our politicians have repeatedly told us that the $12 trillion trade deficit accumulated over that time was nothing to worry about.  Finally, Americans have once again grown weary of paying for foreign entanglements.

Even more difficult to contemplate, how much American blood has been shed because we have been forced to defend “American economic interests” in what should’ve been wholly unnecessary wars and that has only served to protect and enrich corporate and banking interests.  This, of course, came at the expense of the American taxpayers. What would the past twenty-seven and a half have looked like had we only farmed our own energy reserves and protected our country’s manufacturing base?  Isn’t this exactly what Washington and Hamilton had warned us about?

Clouding this debate even more is the immigration issue where again we could learn much from the words of Hamilton who warned us: “the United States have already felt the evils of incorporating a large number of foreigners into their national mass; by promoting in different classes different predilections in favor of particular foreign nations, and antipathies against others, it has served very much to divide the community and to distract our councils. It has been often likely to compromise the interests of our own country in favor of another.”

Instead our betters have set us on a different course and our people have become Balkanized as a result.  Because we know these immigrant populations to be largely decent people we are compassionate to their plight.  But they are largely lacking understanding of “Americanism” and therefore they unwittingly vote to transform our country into the ones they fled from.  Where is the compassion for our children who are coming of age in a greatly diminished homeland and with greatly diminished prospects?

These two issues are the linchpins of the Globalist Movement.  They are the issues that divide the Republican Establishment Elites that comprise the #Never Trump cabal from the rank and file of their party.  These are the issues that unite the Establishment Elites of both the Republican and Democratic Parties.

There simply is no issue of singular importance to America’s ruling class than that of the Globalist Movement.  Global warming, women’s rights, the environment, abortion, universal healthcare, the pro-life movement, race, gun control, war, peace, no matter the issue our elected establishment politicians and their corporate cronies couldn’t care less about it.  These are nothing more than distractions intended to divide the electorate while the Elites surreptitiously finalize the financial rape of the working class by removing all control from the people.  For the Elites like Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan the other nations of the world come first and America comes last.

It’s now obvious that there is only one issue that these renegade Republicans support in the unspoken but clearly obvious Hillary Clinton platform, and that is her desire to move the U.S. further towards a singular governing coalition comprised of major banking institutions, international mega-corporations, and an appointed bureaucratic elite that is not accountable to the people of the United States in any way.

Clinton helped to craft the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) and, when it was announced, she it called the “Gold Standard” of trade agreements.  It has begun life as a 5.544 page list of limitations on United States based businesses and is sure to grow exponentially because it also has a provision, similar to the European Union agreement, for a super-national governing tribunal.

The EU started out as a free trade agreement in 1993 and wound up with unelected bureaucrats from other countries dictating everything from taxes to immigration quotas to the flush of their toilets.  It is hard to envision how eighty thousand pages of limitations can be anyone’s idea of a “free” trade agreement.   Frankly, it’s hard to see how a “ truly free” trade agreement needs ten pages let alone 5,544 pages to define it.

The end result of foreign bureaucrats deciding your affairs is that you’ll have neither financial prosperity nor the right to decide for yourselves the other issues listed above that we have foolishly thought so important.

The Brits voted to Brexit the EU in an assertion of their independence because of these issues.  When they went to the polls this was the only issue on their ballots.  On America’s Independence Day resolve amongst yourselves that this November it will be the only issue on your ballot.  Vote as though your future depends on it because it does.  Vote for independence and reassert our Founding Principles.
