Independent Commission: Blame Charlottesville on City Council, Mayor, Police Chief

A  220-page report detailing the massive mishandling of the events that led to the death of Heather Heyer in Charlottesville was just released, and despite the mainstream media’s attempt to hijack the narrative on that day, it places the blame for the violence squarely at the feet of the Charlottesville city council, the mayor, and the city’s police chief.

Timothy J. Heaphy, a former U.S. attorney, concluded that poor planning, bad orders and general incompetence exacerbated violent clashes that exploded at the “Unite the Right” rally of hundreds of white nationalists on Aug. 12.  The report also addressed two other events earlier in the year that should’ve served as warnings planners.

Heaphy’s conclusion was damning for the liberal leadership of Charlottesville:

“The city was unable to protect the right of free expression and facilitate the permit holder’s offensive speech.  This represents a failure of one of government’s core functions—the protection of fundamental rights.”

A list of the city’s elected officials failures on that day can be found in the table of contents:

The report’s findings are so damning that it begs the question as to whether the events in Charlottesville were orchestrated by Democrats who sit in every position of power in the chain of command from the Virginia State House to the Mayor of Charlottesville. Otherwise, this level of incompetence is impossible to explain.

The report was compiled by Hunton & Williams, LLP and confirmed our conclusions just a week later after reviewing the available evidence.

Remember that barely a month after the deadly clash in Charlottesville, Antifa was designated a domestic terror group.  And yet, there is never a demand for the Democrats to disavow them.

Unfortunately the report doesn’t explore the common link between the Antifa terror organization, Black Lives Matter, and the Democratic Party that is the source of their funding.  George Soros, Tom Steyer and the Democracy Alliance, along with the Ford Foundation have poured hundreds of billions of dollars into building them all into a coordinated political force to undermine our American way of life.
