Elder Patriot – A River Ridge High School teacher in Woodstock Georgia should be removed from her teaching position if for no other reason than she’s an ignorant puss who holds her beliefs over the constitutionally protected beliefs of others to express theirs.
Either one constitutes a sufficient reason for her dismissal.
First, let it sink in that it was America’s greatness that defeated Nazism. We didn’t defeat the better-prepared German army because we were ordinary. She should read Tom Brokaw’s, The Greatest Generation and compare those balls out heroes to the generation of limp-wrists she’s helping shape.
Then there’s a little thing called the First Amendment to the Constitution that she feels only applies to her self and those she agrees with.
The teacher, Lyn Orletsky, has every right to her views but she doesn’t have a right to impose them on others. Her decision to do so makes her a doctrinaire no different from the Nazi’s she claims to be against, not a teacher who encourages young minds to grow, flourish and think for themselves.
Orletsky is just one doctrinaire in a long line of dogmatists who have taken over every level of our schools from kindergarten to our colleges and universities.
Remember this scene that was repeated throughout our schools across our country in 2009?
That led to a generation of youth worshipping a man and ignorantly supporting his anti-American agenda. This became glaringly obvious when the youth vote went to the most corrupt figure in modern political history because Obama told them to support her.
The sad fact is Ortletsy and her ilk couldn’t tell you anything about the rise of Nazism in Germany. If she had the facts on her side she should’ve used this episode as a teaching opportunity and engaged the students in a fact-based debate. She didn’t because she either lacks the teaching skills necessary for debate or she doesn’t know anything about the history of authoritarian rule.
Either way she’s not fit to be teaching impressionable students
If teachers like her had a clue about even the slightest history of its rise she’d be concerned about the rising Islamic Caliphate and the violent speech deniers of Antifa, and not President Trump.
The fact is she and other similarly oriented employees in our education matrix are using the phony conflation of the president with Nazism to obscure their real goal. Marxism. That is why they so fervently embraced the ideologically driven Marxist beliefs of Barack Obama and why they so fear President Trump’s hard line defense of capitalism.
The great economist and philosopher, Milton Friedman, made it all so understandable for anyone who cared to listen to him:
“The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither. The society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both.”
Friedman was not a Pollyanna. Rather he recognized the lessons of history as well as basic human nature. Greed is endemic in every socio-economic and political system because that is the nature of humans, not systems.
“The world runs on individuals pursuing their separate interests. The great achievements of civilization have not come from government bureaus. Einstein didn’t construct his theory under order from a bureaucrat. Henry Ford didn’t revolutionize the automobile industry that way.
“In the only cases where the masses have escaped from the kind of grinding poverty that you’re talking about, the only cases in recorded history are where they have had capitalism and largely free trade.
“If you want to know where the masses are worst off it’s exactly in the kinds of societies that depart from that.
“So that the record of history is absolutely crystal clear that there is no alternative way, so far discovered, of improving the lot of the ordinary people that can hold a candle to the productive activities that are unleashed by a free enterprise system.”
When he was pressed on the greed that today’s neo-Marxists claim infests capitalism and leads to economic injustice Friedman explained that greed is not endemic only to capitalism:
“Do you think the communist commissar rewards virtue? Do you think a Hitler rewards virtue? Do you think, excuse me, American presidents reward virtue?
“Do they choose their appointees based on virtues or on the basis of their political clout?
“Is it really true that political self-interest is nobler somehow than economic self-interest?”
Just tell me where in the world you find these angels who are going to organize our society for us?
It’s time that we emand that Lyn Orletsky and Marxist authoritarians like her be purged from our education system so that our children can be taught history and economic systems in a manner that encourages understanding and free thought.
