Federal Trade Commission Makes it Official – Reveals Facebook Investigation

Elder Patriot – The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced this morning that it has opened an investigation into Facebook’s privacy practices.  This ostensibly comes after the social media giant’s announcement that British political consulting firm Cambridge Analytica may have misused the data of about 50 million users in order to influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

The fact is that there’s evidence that an active investigation has been going on for some time and the Cambridge Analytica story was released by the targets of the investigation in order to blunt the FTC’s announcement ahead of time.  Investigators don’t wake up one morning and decide to announce an investigation without already having significant evidence of wrongdoing.

Well they don’t if they’re not Rod Rosenstein or Andrew McCabe.

As far as we can determine, the FTC’s investigation into Facebook’s misconduct is based on copious amounts of evidence and will not be limited solely to an investigation into Cambridge Analytica.

There is growing evidence that Google, Twitter, and YouTube joined with Facebook in a criminal conspiracy during the run-up to the 2016 election to install Hillary Clinton as president so that the corporate fleecing of America could continue apace.

Ever since Obama’s director for media analytics during the 2012 campaign, Carol Davidsen went public with a tweet storm on March 18th I’ve been left wondering why?

What would drive her to expose those secrets if she wasn’t trying to get out in front of a coming shit storm?

Evidence of Facebook’s role in biasing the 2016 election has been crashing down around the social media titan like an avalanche.  The Cambridge Analytica story was meant to neuter the extent of the Clinton bias that had already become public.

It would be hard to imagine Davidsen making those revelations if she hadn’t already been interviewed over her role in mining the personal information of every American on Facebook’s platform and realized that it would be better to cooperate with investigators.

Whether she made a deal to avoid prosecution is not yet known but she’s not the ultimate target of this investigation so it would make sense that a deal was offered and accepted.

That would explain why Davidsen risked the wrath of everyone she associates with just as the Cambridge Analytica announcement was being made.  Cambridge Analytica was to be the next offensive with which to discredit President Trump and Davidsen stuck a pin in it before it was even off the ground.

The fact is Davidsen served as the equivalent of a street capo in the Obama crime family.  Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg are two of the Facebook kingpins investigators are after.

We should expect this investigation to be the tip of the iceberg, and not just at Facebook.
