Expected But Still Sickening: New York Times Changes Factually Correct Headline to Suit Divisive Extremists

Elder Patriot – Curious that.  Why is it every time there’s good news for President Trump there’s a mass shooting?  

Democratic presidential pretenders demanded that The New York Times change a headline because… well… because it contradicted their campaign narrative.

The Times initial headline was factually correct in every way.  Here is President Trump’s statement without the narrative of the paid strife-creators:  


“Now is the time to set destructive partisanship aside, so destructive, and find the courage to answer hatred with unity, devotion, and love.”

Virtually, as if on cue, Dem candidates’ began repeating DNC talking points.  Predictably, Twitter responses came within an eight-minute span:

(New York Post) Democratic presidential hopeful Joe Biden on Monday said President Trump was playing a “dangerous game” by using incendiary language about immigrants.

“There’s no question it’s a dangerous game,” Biden told CNN’s Anderson Cooper when addressing what he perceived as President Trump’s divisive remarks.

“There’s no question that his rhetoric has contributed to, at a minimum, of dumbing down the way in which we as a society talk about one another.

“This is about separating people, and the good and bad in his mind.”

Booker, like most Democrats, attacked President Trump regardless of what he says:

The Times embraced the bi-polarity of the detractors defaming this president.

Truthful reporting, of course, would undermine the lone narrative Democrats have left to run on.  Their platforms are void of any serious policy proposals that would make America stronger or more liveable.  Orangeman bad and divisive, is all they’ve got.  

That, and Marxism.

Then the calls for a boycott of the NY Times came from radical leftists. 

The Times abandoned all journalistic integrity, something they have great experience at doing, to mollify the anarchy crowd who can’t handle the truth.

And, here comes the bastion of left-wing truth… wait for it…

In an effort to rejoin the Orangman bad chorus, the Times changed its headline.  Even Mark Penn, former advisor to Bill Clinton, realized the gravity of what just happened.

The fact is, President Trump is the head of the executive branch of government making him responsible for enforcing the laws of the land.  Those sniping at him are legislators responsible for writing those laws.  

It wasn’t Trump who wrote the laws, or who conflated his efforts to curtail illegal immigration with some desire to block all immigration.

If his detractors think the enforcement of those laws are triggering these shootings – they know they’re not – they have two choices.

They can change the laws (that would require committing political suicide) or they can explain to their cult followers why the laws are necessary.  As we’ve seen repeated many times in the past, their followers will believe anything they’re told.

The perpetrators of these mass shootings run the racial gamut (though they are mostly white males as would be expected in a mostly white nation) and political ideology.

The phenomena of mass shootings predates this president and can just as easily be tied to the efforts by members of both parties to shove an immigration agenda down the throats of Americans that they never agreed to or wanted.

(USA Today Archive) As lawmakers get closer to introducing a comprehensive immigration-reform bill, opponents are gearing up to flood Congress with calls condemning any legislation that allows illegal immigrants to gain legal status or citizenship.

The same tactic helped defeat immigration reform the last time lawmakers considered passing bills in 2006 and especially 2007, when a flood of angry calls shut down the switchboard in Congress.

That prompted supporters to pull the plug on immigration reform in favor of beefing up border security first.

It was only a matter of time before the most unstable in our society, expecting their elected leaders to do as they promised and were elected to do, were run off the rails.
