Elder Patriot – The long-standing “special relationship” between England and the United States is tarnished. Perhaps beyond repair due to the destructive forces inside the Obama administration.
Admittedly there is much yet to come out but let’s take a look at what we know at this time.
Assets of Britain’s MI6 and GCHQ were at the heart of the illegal spying operation carried out against Donald Trump, both while he was a candidate and then later during his presidency. That, by itself is not damning – everyone is spying on everyone – but if their goal was to prevent Donald Trump from becoming president and then undermining his presidency after the election, they crossed the Rubicon from friend to foe.
It’s clear that Britain’s elite, like the rest of the European Union parliament, were deeply troubled by the prospect of a Trump presidency. It wasn’t because they loved Hillary Clinton.
But there were two reasons that they preferred a second president Clinton.. First, they knew Hillary was controllable. Everyone spying on everyone means that they had enough dirt – real dirt – on her to at least keep her in line.
The second reason was because Britain’s leaders trusted Hillary’s greed for cash, and her penchant for making shady deals to acquire it, would guarantee the continued flow of huge sums of money skimmed from policies like the Paris Climate Accord, the Iranian nuclear deal, and TPP, among others.
International politics are fueled by money. Money that finds its way into the hands of the ruling elite. In this case that money was coming from the American taxpayers and at the cost of American workers.
Donald Trump threatened that order. He had made that very clear during his campaign.
So, shortly after Donald Trump announced his candidacy in the summer of 2015 Britain’s intelligence agencies went to work to undermine him by any means possible. It appears Robert Hannigan, then head of the GCHQ – Government Communications Headquarters – launched a counterintelligence operation against Trump.
Counterintelligence investigations are preferable to criminal investigations because the legal threshold to conduct spying and surveillance is far lower.
It now appears that Hannigan enlisted the help of the intelligence agencies of other countries that were equally opposed to a Trump presidency. They included Germany, Estonia, Poland, Australia, the Netherlands, and France.
This is not an uncommon way to add gravitas to unreliable intelligence. Remember when the intel agencies of an entire cadre of our allies unanimously agreed that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction?
As a member of the Five Eyes network – Britain, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States – Hannigan was personally in contact with CIA Director John Brennan on a regular basis. Brennan was at the heart of the U.S. counterintelligence operation against Donald Trump.
Brennan’s hatred for Trump was palpable and well known and probably founded in his fear that his criminal activities while running the CIA as a protection racket for both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama would be uncovered by a Trump presidency.
It became apparent to Brennan that the evidence the Brit’s had compiled would never withstand scrutiny under the bright lights of an American electoral campaign. He likely told Hannigan that he needed more than what he had and brokered an arrangement between the DNC, Hillary’s campaign, and perhaps Obama to fund further work by MI6.
Enter Christopher Steele and the now infamous Russia dossier. Brennan gets cover from a supposedly “friendly” foreign government’s intelligence warning us of a “compromised” candidate and the funding of it could not be traced back to his agency.
Since Trump’s election nothing has changed to contradict these conclusions. In fact, the evidence has become more overwhelming.
Rather than denounce MI6’s attempt to influence the 2016 U.S. election every intelligence agency that has spoken publicly has continued defending the Steele dossier.
Also consider that British Prime Minister Theresa May joined Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel and France’s President Emmanuel Macron and refused to join President Trump in terminating the Iranian nuclear deal.
The deal lacked any serious provision for inspections. Suspicions suggest, and Iranian leadership has charged, that billions upon billions of our tax dollars had been used by the Obama administration to bribe our European allies to become signatories to the worthless (for the U.S.) agreement.
H.J.Ansari Zarif’s senior advisor: “If Europeans stop trading with Iran and don’t put pressure on US then we will reveal which western politicians and how much money they had received during nuclear negotiations to make #IranDeal happen.”
That would be interesting.#JCPOA

Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer said of the deal at that time:
“The most astonishing thing [about the deal] is that in return, they [Iran] are not closing a single nuclear facility. Their entire nuclear infrastructure is intact.”
“They are going to have the entire infrastructure in place either for a breakout after the agreement expires or when they have enough sanctions relief and they want to cheat and to breakout on their own.”.
Krauthammer was correct in his assessment so why in the world did they all sign on to it if it wasn’t for personal enrichment?
Now we are learning of the disappearance of intel assets with knowledge of the plot to take down Trump.
Joseph Mifsud who orchestrated the “brush” with George Papadopoulos cannot be found. Why wasn’t Mifsud named in court documents that describe how the campaign aide, George Papadopoulos, lied to investigators about his contacts with “foreign agents?” And, why has he gone missing?
There’s also the troubling and suspicious death of a former KGB general who allegedly helped Steele compile the Trump dossier. Oleg Erovinkin was found dead in the back of his car. How many times does a person even enter the rear of their own car?
Erovinkin is linked to Igor Sechin whose name is mentioned numerous times in at least one of the leaked memos. Sechin is a close ally and widely recognized by intelligence agencies as a de facto deputy of Vladimir Putin.
Sechin’s interest in preventing the Trump ascendancy almost certainly stems from his connections with the Podesta brothers and, by extension, Hillary Clinton. Again, it’s fueled by money.
Sechin is CEO of Rosneft, a Russian oil company that the Podesta Group lobbied for during the 2016 election cycle.
The Podesta’s had focused on getting financial sanctions lifted for Russian banks (Sberbank and VTB Capital) as well as different Russian oil companies (such as Rosneft and Gazprom). Sberbank admitted this in a press release in the early part of 2017.
John Podesta served as CEO of Hillary Clinton’s campaign. Your can decide whether Erovinkin was Arkancided or not.
This is all getting to look very similar to other deals that the Clinton’s made, except on a much grander scale.
More importantly, the Brit’s determination to destroy Trump and protect Hillary Clinton demands that we take a long, hard look at whether they are even our allies any longer let alone if they are still deserving of special nation status.
