ELDER PATRIOT – Like many Americans, Donald Trump grew sick of hearing the phrase “Happy Holidays” repeatedly endlessly when he and everyone else knew that it was Christmastime.
Trump respected the rights of others to celebrate their religious holidays but he watched and fumed when the holidays of others were openly celebrated and the holidays of most importance to the greatest number of Americans were being reduced to Winter Solstice and Spring Vacation.
So he promised America’s Christian community that if he were to become president we’d all be saying “Merry Christmas” again.
At the Values Value Summit in early September Trump acknowledged his debt to the evangelical community for helping him win the Republican nomination when he told the audience, “One of the greatest privileges of my journey has been the time I spent with the evangelical community and the support they gave me. Those primers were absolutely incredible I have to tell you all across the nation lot of people said I wonder if Donald will get the evangelicals? I got the evangelicals. I’m gonna make it up to you.”
“I hear from concerned parents how much harder it is for Christian families to raise their children in today’s media environment. It isn’t it right, not even close. Your values of love charity and faith built this nation.”
“So let me state this right up front in a Trump administration our Christian heritage will be cherished protected and defended like you’ve never seen before. Believe me.”
President-elect Trump has made it clear that to accomplish the American renaissance that he wants for our country will not be achievable in any lasting way without a concurrent spiritual renaissance of America’s citizens. And that begins and ends with restating our commitment to our Judeo-Christian values.
Get ready to be greeted by cheers of Merry Christmas one year from now! Just beware, the popping sound that you hear will be liberals’ exploding heads.
