Elder Patriot – The New York Post is reporting:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Wednesday said her vote to confirm President Trump’s attorney general nominee, William Barr, hinges on assurances that he will ensure that special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation be made public.
While reasonable people would agree that the country needs a believable resolution to this Democrat constructed mess, if Barr is confirmed, then it is up to him how to best heal the country’s political divide.
Corrupt Sen. Feinstein (D-CA), who had a Chinese spy in her employ for the past 20 years, wants Mueller’s final report to be released in its entirety:
“This is a big report, and the public needs to see it.”
“I am hopeful that that report will be made public and my vote depends on that. The attorney general must understand the importance of this to the nation as a whole, to us as a Congress, as well to every American.”
“It’s essential that Congress and the American people know what is in the Mueller report.”
Feinstein is desperate to cover her tracks and she is counting on the Mueller report, in its entirely, to include multiple avenues of inquiry and dozens of unproven allegations against President Trump.
She is counting on the propaganda media to seize onto these secondary storylines in the hopes that they will obscure the fact that she was a key participant in the origination of the Russia-Trump witch-hunt in the Senate.
When the CIA, DOJ and FBI began the Trump-Russia collusion investigation Feinstein was a member of the Gang of Eight. She was the ranking member of the institutionally corrupt Senate Select Committee on Intelligence until January 2017 when she stepped aside.
Nearly two years ago, shortly after President Trump took office, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was interviewing Feinstein when she told him there was no evidence of collusion:
Blitzer: Do you have evidence that there was in fact collusion between Trump associate and Russia during the campaign?
Sen. Feinstein: Not at this time.
At the time of the interview, as new evidence suggests, the FBI had been conducting surveillance on the Trump campaign for at least nine months. If they found nothing after that length of time what possible predicate did they have for opening these investigations in the first place?
In fact, after another 22 months of digging, the New York Times revealed just how void their investigation was and is.
The Times finally admitted there was no actual evidence for their probe into whether Trump “worked for the Russians.”
Instead, officials at the FBI cited their foreign policy differences with him, his lawful firing of bungling FBI Director James Comey, and alarm that he accurately revealed to the American public that he was told he wasn’t under investigation by the FBI, when they wanted to keep that fact from the public.
Mr. Trump had caught the attention of F.B.I. counterintelligence agents when he called on Russia during a campaign news conference in July 2016 to hack into the emails of his opponent, Hillary Clinton. Mr. Trump had refused to criticize Russia on the campaign trail, praising President Vladimir V. Putin. And investigators had watched with alarm as the Republican Party softened its convention platform on the Ukraine crisis in a way that seemed to benefit Russia.
Mollie Hemingway, writing for the Federalist corrected the Times account:
First, Trump never called on Russia to hack Clinton, despite repeated media claims to the contrary. Clinton had already destroyed her server, along with 30,000 emails she claimed were about yoga, while she was under investigation for mishandling classified information. Trump was highlighting that tons of hackers could have already accessed her insecure server when it still existed and, if they had, those emails should be released so that Americans would know what foreign governments undoubtedly already did. It was a way to highlight her reckless handling of classified information and the global security concerns of that.
Second, having a foreign policy different from those who seek conflict with Russia is neither a problem nor any of the FBI’s business. In fact, it’s a big part of why the American people voted for Trump. The American people get to determine who sets foreign policy, and they do so through elections. The FBI does not get to set foreign policy by running criminal and counterintelligence investigations to punish those who step outside their preferred approach. They have no constitutional authority to do that.
Third, even if the Republican Party had changed its convention platform regarding Ukraine, which it had not, that is also neither a problem nor any of the FBI’s business. It’s shocking and scandalous that the FBI thinks it should criminalize foreign policy disputes.
After two years, this is the best the FBI can come up with to justify investigating a duly elected POTUS?
This is an act of desperation. What are they hiding and why is it so important to stop President Trump from exposing it?
Stay tuned. It’s about to get very interesting.
