BREAKING: President Trump Pledges Continued Support for Kavanaugh

Elder Patriot – While he was a candidate, President Trump promised America that he would be guided by fairness and that he would not be held hostage to political correctness.

This morning he stood by that promise when he declared:

“I am with Judge Kavanaugh.  For people to come out of the woodwork from thirty-six years ago, and thirty years ago, and never mentioned it, all of a sudden it happened … totally political.”

President Trump added that this is:

“one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate.”

Trump has proven once again that he will not be cowed by Democrat lies, or the incessant drumbeat of the mainstream media that endlessly repeats and promotes those lies, and whose only goal is to help Democrats limit his Make America Great Again agenda.

President Trump want to put an end to Senate Democrats’ blatant abuse of the hearing process, and finally neuter their “delay, delay, delay” strategy, so that it no longer can continue paying dividends. Putting a stop to it would be long overdue.

The president has signalled to Senate Republicans that this is a hill they must be prepared to die on if our Republican way of government is to survive.

It’s doubtful that Trump would expend this much political capital if he hadn’t been assured by Chairman Grassley that he had the votes for Judge Kavanaugh’s confirmation.

That would also suggest that continuing investigations, by both the Senate Judiciary Committee and the White House had provided no support for either Christine Blasey-Ford or Deborah Ramirez’s accusations.

Expect Kavanaugh’s accusers to face aggressive questioning from one or more Republican Senators, from deeply red states, similar to the manner how Arlen Specter eviscerated Anita Hill after she attempted to tank Clarence Thomas’ nomination.

President Trump, who has been a victim of Democrats’ unseemly tactics is convinced we are witnessing more of the same:

“There’s a chance that this could be one of the single-most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything.

“In my opinion, it is totally political.”

The president knows all about such things.
