ELDER PATRIOT –More than two years ago, Dawud Abdulwali set what turned into a massive fire that destroyed the Da Vinci apartment complex as well as the building housing the L.A. Department Water & Power. Of course this has not reported as an act of Islamic terror but what would you call it?
The fire became so intense that local roads and freeways had to be closed, windows of nearby buildings burst from the heat, and freeway signs literally melted.
According to reports, Abdulwali admitted to the court that he had been inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement and that had instigated and fanned his rage against police officers.
If BLM is now giving inspiration to Islamic radicals this should be major news. This merger of radical Islam and domestic terror organizations like BLM is the result of eight years of Obama’s head in the sand policy of denial.
The L.A. Times reported that, “the blaze caused between $20 million and $30 million in damage to the Da Vinci complex and an additional $50 million in damage to the DWP building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The apartment complex’s owner also suffered approximately $100 million in lost potential revenue as a result of the fire, according to a probation report filed with the court.”
Abdulwali who pleaded no contest to one count of arson and admitted to using an accelerant to start the blaze, was sentenced to 15 years in prison and ordered to pay as much as $100 million in restitution.
This is a story that the terrorist BLM movement and the Democrat donors who fund them don’t want you to see because it puts the lie to their claims of being a peaceful social justice organization.
It also hurts their insistence that radical Islam is not a serious problem. Someone has to pay the $100+ million in damages and making license plates doesn’t pay all that well.
Adding to the intrigue surrounding this is the fact that this fire took place in Maxine Waters’ home district making her silence about it deafening. Don’t hold your breath waiting for the mainstream media to ask her for a comment about who’s to blame Islamic radicalism, BLM, or both, either.
