BOOM! President Trump Trashes British Leadership – U.K. Ambassador Resigns, PM May on Way Out

Elder Patriot – President Trump has had his fill of British Prime Minister Theresa May and her feckless diplomatic corps that has blocked the Brexit that her citizens voted for three years ago.

After disparaging cables calling the Trump administration “inept,” written by U.K. Ambassador Kim Darroch, were leaked to the media, President Trump called him a “very stupid guy” who he’d been told is a “pompous fool.”

Elites tend to be like that.

In a series of scorching tweets over two days, President Trump torched P.M. May and her ambassador to the United States.

President Trump, who has constantly defended May and the “special relationship” that has been anything but special for the United State in recent years, also took aim at U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May for her feckless leadership.

Hoping to mollify the U.S. president, Amb. Darroch tendered his resignation:

Since the leak of official documents from this Embassy there has been a great deal of speculation surrounding my position and the duration of my remaining term as ambassador. I want to put an end to that speculation. The current situation is making it impossible for me to carry out my role as I would like.  Although my posting is not due to end until the end of this year, I believe in the current circumstances the responsible course is to allow the appointment of a new ambassador.

Thanks but Trump couldn’t give a spit about your diplomacy, he only cares about results.  And those were significant.

Britain will now appoint a different ambassador, hopefully that will be someone wearing big boy pants and wanting to restore that “special relationship.

Now that pompous Sir Kim has been neutered, Britain’s liberal elite – anti-Brexit, anti-Trump, pro-climate-change, all for the continued extraction of British wealth – have been humiliated.

The Wankerati, as they’re derisively referred to, have been chastened.  And they acknowledge it:

Conservative Boris Johnson, May’s likely successor, made a bold statement when he refused to defend Darroch.  Johnson may not be a perfect mate for Trump but he is his own man.

Perhaps the once proud Brits are again prepared to fight for their freedoms.

It looks like President Trump may finally have a partner at Number 10 Downing Street.  And, Trump deserves all the credit for giving the Brits what they crave, freedom from the EU.
