Blue Wave? Dem’s Pick Up Important Foreign Endorsement

Elder Patriot – In politics endorsements can make all the difference in how a candidate is perceived by the electorate.  Remember Morning Joe defining Donald Trump as a racist due to the endorsement of someone who he had never met, former KKK member David Duke?  Many morons still believe that President Trump is a racist.

At the same time, an endorsement can help swing an election in a candidates favor, as well.  In 2016 Donald Trump benefitted greatly from a host of endorsements from former generals and intelligence assets.

So the Democrats must’ve been thrilled to receive their latest endorsement for the 2018 midterms.  This should really excite their base as they move away from representing working class Americans.  Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Republic of Iran has released a statement endorsing a large plank of the Democrats’ platform.

Khamenei, in what must be music to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s ears, called on the United States to institute strict gun control laws.

Iran’s Supreme Leader bypassed the U.S. Constitution and made his impassioned plea directly to the United Nations something that Joe Biden and Barack Obama did in negotiating the small arms pact with the UN.  The Ayatollah did his best impersonation of Dianne Feinstein while addressing the world body:

“Another case which the U.N. should definitely pursue is the freedom of selling guns in the U.S. with which so many crimes are being committed.

“You hear and witness that every day in schools, in universities, in markets, and on the street that a teenager, a man, or a woman fires a volley of bullets at some people because of some problem they have — they are extremely angry, or they are mad and have some personal problems,” the Islamic leader continued.

“They kill eight, ten, twenty — more or less — people, and families mourn the loss of their dear ones.”

The Ayatollah was as fast and loose with the stats as Democrats have been known to be and his political posturing was just as inane:

“Why do they not stop this?  The reason is that gun companies prevent this, and the U.S. administrations are under the influence of these companies.”

This is an offshoot of the “NRA controls the Republican Party narrative” that a large segment of the Democrats constituents have been repeating of late.  Sorry but politicians react to voters and we all know that 100 million gun owners and the families that they protect comprise a formidable constituency that votes in much larger numbers than virtually any other political action group.

We demand access to guns.  Companies cannot force us to buy them.

Khamenei also asked the UN to pursue six other areas of human rights violations that he accused the United States of committing.  It sounds like the touchy-feely Ayatollah is worried that newly confirmed CIA chief Gina Haspel, known for being a tough cookie when it comes to interrogation, will be too much for his badass terrorist beheaders.

That’s something else the Ayatollah has in common with Democrats like Cory Booker and Kamala Harris who practically melted down over Haspel’s toughness during her nomination process.

It’s arguable that the Democrats have been courting the Ayatollah’s support all along.  The Ayatollah has repeatedly called for death to Israel and has promised to wipe the tiny Jewish nation off the map.  Democrats, not wanting to offend the Supreme Leader avoided, en masse, the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

Hey Dems, this is one endorsement that you own!
