Elder Patriot – Under Manchurian president Hussein Obama, Iran had grown accustomed to issuing blustery threats against Israel and the United States knowing they would would not be held to account for it. For eight long years Iranian terrorism had been largely unchecked, Israel had been marginalized by Obama, and the radical mullahs were rewarded with the Iran nuclear deal.
It was only a matter of time after Donald Trump became president that Iran expected they would be put on notice that such intemperate speech would no longer be tolerated by this president. That came earlier this week on Sunday:
To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 23, 2018
The Iranians had already acknowledged that its days of sabre-rattling were over by ending its harrassment of U.S. warships passing through the Persian Gulf. That came after years escalating provocations from the Iranians towards our Navy under our previous administration. In 2015 there were 22 such engagements. In 2016 there were 36. So far this year there have been no such provocations.
But, Trump’s tweet on Sunday did stir a harsh response from one member of the embattled Iranian regime. It came from Major-General Qassem Soleimani who heads the Quds Force, the elite wing of the Revolutionary Guards Corps.
“You know that this war will destroy all that you possess. You will start this war but we will be the ones to impose its end.
“Trump should know that we are nation of martyrdom and that we await him.”
“Mr Gambler Trump! I’m telling you that we are close to you exactly where you wouldn’t think that we are.”
Soleimani has been responsible for conducting military operations and terror attacks across the Middle East in the interest of expanding Iranian hegemony. It’s been said that “after Osama bin Laden, he has more American blood on his hands than any terrorist.”
Soleimani has a personal stake in this which explains his overstepping his authority.
Soleimani has been a target of the Trump administration for a while. Around the New Year, the Kuwaiti newspaper Al Jaridi quoted one of its sources in Jerusalem as having told the newspaper “there is an American-Israeli agreement” naming Soleimani as a “threat to the two countries’ interests in the region” and that President Trump has agreed to an Israeli plan to assassinate Soleimani.
According to Al Jaridi, this was not Isreal’s first plan to assassinate Soleimani:
Al Jaridi reported that three years ago Obama provided Iran with intelligence detailing a similar Israeli plot back at that time. That plot was successfully thwarted because of the information Obama had supplied.
This was just another example of our Manchurian president’s allegiance to Iran over the interests of our ally, Israel. Now because of Obama’s interference Soleimani is free to threaten Americans, President Trump and President Trump’s family.
Kenneth R. Timmerman, the Executive Director of the Foundation for Democracy in Iran described the extent of Soleimani’s reign of terror, “After Osama bin Laden, he [Soleimani] has more American blood on his hands than any terrorist.”
This kind of bluster from a dead man walking is reminiscent of Baghdad Bob, the mouthpiece for Saddam Hussein and President Trump knows this.
Soleimani is about to learn this U.S. president will not protect him like the last one did. There will be no warnings coming corrupted U.S. intelligence services now that the treasonous John Brennan has been contained.
This won’t end well for Soleimani.
