Elder Patriot – Attorney General William Barr has sent a letter to Congress stating:
“I write to notify you pursuant to 28 C.F.R. 600.9(a)(3) that Special Counsel Robert S. Mueller III has concluded his investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election and related matters.”
In the letter, Barr cites Special Counsel regulations governing his release of any appropriate findings:
Judging by the timing of the report’s handoff, late afternoon on a Friday guaranteeing minimum media coverage, we should expect the Mueller investigation failed to prove anything especially damaging to President Trump.
It has been reported by CBS News:
A senior Justice Department official has told CBS News that Mueller is not recommending any further indictments.
This is a damning development for Democrats and Never Trump RINO’s who represent the interests of Wall Street, the globalists multinationals (banks and corps), the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Business Roundtable who deliver their marching orders through K-Street lobbyists.
All had been looking for a way to end or weaken the Trump Presidency because of his America First agenda that threatens their domination over global profits.
Not surprisingly in light of their recent calls to rewrite, or ignore, the U.S. Constitution, Democrats who have been left holding onto a failed narrative are now demanding that long standing Department of Justice guidelines be ignored and are demanding the release of the Mueller report in its entirety.
Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said the report “must be provided to Congress immediately, and the Attorney General should swiftly prepare a declassified version for the public. Nothing short of that will suffice.”
Congressional Democrat leaders Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) echoed Warner’s remarks, stating: “It is imperative for Mr. Barr to make the full report public and provide its underlying documentation and findings to Congress.”
RINO Never-Trumper Mitch McConnell chimed in to the extent he could while protecting his Republican cover.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said of the report’s submission: “The Attorney General has said he intends to provide as much information as possible. As I have said previously, I sincerely hope he will do so as soon as he can, and with as much openness and transparency as possible.”
We highlighted the rules governing what AG Barr can release earlier today, citing a nine-month old letter Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to to then-Senate Judiciary Chairman, Chuck Grassley: (emphasis mine)
In the letter, Rosenstein makes it clear he believes the Department of Justice will not – and cannot without violating long-standing Department of Justice policy – include disparaging or incriminating information about anybody who has not been charged with a crime.
“Punishing wrongdoers through judicial proceedings is only one part of the Department’s mission,” Rosenstein wrote. “We also have a duty to prevent the disclosure of information that would unfairly tarnish people who are not charged with crimes.”
Sorry guys, but there’ll be no unproven allegations or defamatory innuendo coming from this report for you to use against President Trump.
Trump has also gained leverage over his enemies in the form of declassification – something that had been blocked under threat of an obstruction charge from the Special Counsel.
