ELDER PATRIOT – Congratulate your selves you took part in an incredible revolution only dissimilar to 1776 in that we accomplished it without violence. Still, like our Founding Fathers we separated from foreign control and restored America’s right of self-determination.
Considering the weapons those aligned against us had at their disposal this might’ve been even more astounding than what our civilian revolutionaries accomplished two hundred and forty years ago.
Let freedom ring!
As the calendar turns tonight take a time to enjoy our victory but when you wake up tomorrow know that this war has only started. Those aligned against us are far better funded than we will ever be and they control the seats of power around the globe. But the greatest threat to Donald Trump’s success (and ours) is the so-called “Deep State” 22 million federal, state and local government employees that comprise the permanent government. Then there are the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO’s.) All use our tax dollars against us.
Virgil has sounded this alarm in an article he penned for Breitbart:
“These anti-Trump constituencies might have lost the 2016 presidential election at the ballot box, but they don’t intend to lose their power. And to that end, they have real clout, and they are using it.
In particular, wily in the ways of Washington, the anti-Trumpers are operating behind the scenes, using their well-greased legal and political machinery to block the President-elect, or at least to discredit and de-legitimize him, such that his presidency – and our freedom – is crippled. And as a part of that backroom effort, the MSM is always ready with a supportive, momentum-building headline or two—or two thousand.
We all remember the anti-Trump protests that immediately erupted after the election—some of them, it would seem, funded by George Soros and his ilk. But such “guerrilla theater” in the streets was just an overture; the real battle, today, is in the suites.
The anti-Trumpers will systematically defame and degrade the 45th president with an eye toward paralyzing his effectiveness in office and hopefully making him a one-termer—or less.
Whoa, the reader might be saying. Less than a one-termer? Really? Yes, that’s the hope of hardcore anti-Trumpers, such as David Brooks of The New York Times, who wrote on November 11 that Trump will “probably resign or be impeached within a year.” That’s the level of hatred that the elite harbors for Trump.
Whereas Trump has largely overcome these strategies by winning the election, talking past the filter of the mainstream establishment media through his use of social media, and shown a steel backbone necessary to keep from withering, he hasn’t seen anything yet.
This has all been prelude intended to soften public opposition to the swamp that is the Deep State.
“The term “Deep State” refers to the complex of bureaucrats, technocrats, and plutocrats that likes things just the way they are and wants to keep them like that—elections be damned…the Deep State has its own political consciousness, and it aims to survive any change of government with its collective will—and self-interest—fully intact.”
If you wonder why nothing ever changes no matter our electoral outcomes it’s because of the Deep State that’s, “not just the hulking office buildings of the Federal Triangle in downtown DC, it’s also the taxpayer-funded mini-metropolises that have sprouted up in Bethesda, Maryland, Crystal City, Virginia, and a dozen other hubs in and around the I-495 Beltway.”
But the Deep State extends well beyond Washington. In 2011, Suzanne Mettler, a professor at Cornell University, published The Submerged State: How Invisible Government Policies Undermine American Democracy. Mettler is no conspiracy-theorist; her argument is that federal policies, notably tax deductions and credits, have had the effect of encouraging the growth of government in ways that most people never notice. The overwhelming amount of federal funding goes to progressive groups that are aligned against the interests of everyday Americans.
Then there are the government contractors who feed from the trough of government. The Congressional Budget Office has admitted they have no way of getting a handle on how large this group might be but it easily equals the number of government employees.
These are the voters – government employees, NGO’s, and contractors – who prefer the status quo even if it results adding trillions in debt annually. With the overwhelming majority of these voters aligned against a disrupter like Trump it’s amazing that he won. More amazing will be if he can overcome their institutional control considering the massive advantage the mainstream establishment media provides them in controlling Senators and House members.
This year we must resolve to start laying the groundwork within our state parties to identify and elevate outside disrupters so that they are in a position to rock the establishment’s world in the 2018 primaries just as Trump did over the past two years so that Trump will have the team he needs to drain the swamp that is the Deep State and return our government to us.
Happy New Year! You’ve earned the right to celebrate…for now.
